Idahosports.com Pep Club of the State Tournament:  The Snake River Panthers Pep Club did not have the most people in their section as some of the other schools, but they excelled in two areas:  1) They were very vocal throughout the game, and 2) They nearly all wore their school colors.  It was a sea of purple, and anyone should be able to tell the school colors by looking at a pep club.  They also had caricatures of their players that were very funny.  Honorable mention should go out the Bishop Kelly Pep Club.  You guys were very vocal and it was the largest pep club, but many of you failed to wear school colors and one thing stood out that was not good. After you won state and the other coach was trying to address the crowd over the microphone, you guys started chanting.  Not good, guys.

The Idahosports.com Mascots of the Tournament:  Since there was only one mascot at the Idaho Center, the winner is simple: It’s the Wildcat from Lapwai.  Terrel Prettyweasel did a fine job inside the costume of the big cat.  Way to go, Terrel!  Lapwai always has their mascot there.  For some reason, there are more mascots when the boys play state.  Dress them up for the girls’ big dance, too!

States That Shouted Us Out  Iowa, Montana, Arizona, Colorado, Michigan, Idaho, Utah, Arkansas, Texas, Minnesota, Oregon, Hawaii, Missouri, Kansas, Washington, California, South Dakota, Wyoming, and New Mexico.  We also had these countries:  Mexico, Congo, India, Thailand, Japan, and China.
