2025 Hall of Fame Inductees

2024-25 Nominees & Winners

The North Idaho Athletic Hall of Fame is set for its 2025 Awards Banquet on Saturday, April 12th, at 6:30 PM at the Coeur d'Alene Resort.

The event serves as a recognition to all of the outstanding high school athletes from North Idaho, as well as the legends who are being inducted into the Hall of Fame.

This year's event features five inductees that will ultimately be part of the 55th annual Hall of Fame class:

Jim Winger - Winger spent 26 years as a head boys basketball coach at the high school level in Coeur d'Alene and capped his final career with a perfect 26-0 record and Lake City's first boys basketball title in school history.

Mike Iupati - Iupati played offensive guard for the University of Idaho football team from 2006-09, and was a first round pick of the San Francisco 49ers.  Over his 11-year NFL career, Iupati also played for the Arizona Cardinals and Seattle Seahawks.

Debbie Buchanan - Buchanan spent 22 seasons as the head volleyball coach at the University of Idaho.  She is the program's all-time winningest coach with 320 wins, 16 Big Sky Conference postseason appearances, and two trips to the NCAA Tournament.

Bart Templeman - Templeman purchased five acres of land in Rathdrum in 2013, and built the Iron Woods Throwers Center, a world-class indoor/outdoor training facility for track and field throwers competing in the shot put, discus and hammer.  He then purchased an additional five acres of land and added a javelin throwing area.

Rick Rasmussen - Rasmussen was a three-sport standout at Coeur d'Alene High.  Upon graduating in 1984 as Valedictorian and Student Body President, he attended the University of Montana and competed in both football and track and field.  After earning his degree, Rasmussen has continued to serve North Idaho athletes as an official, and as a member of the North Idaho Athletics Hall of Fame Board.

In addition to the Hall of Fame ceremonies, 44 different awards will be given out to various athletes, coaches and teams across the high school and college sports landscape in North Idaho.
