How did you first get interested in football?

I first got interested in football when I started playing youth flag football at age 6 with some of my current teammates, actually. I play quarterback and safety. However, I only play safety in certain packages. I've played these positions my whole life.

Do you play any other sports?

I also play basketball and golf. I don't really have a favorite, except for whatever is in season. I do know, however, that I am better at golf than basketball.

What’s the most valuable lesson you’ve learned from high school sports?

Probably the most valuable lesson I've learned from sports is how to be mentally strong. Sports require you to keep a level head and positive attitude at all times during competition. I've also learned how to be a good teammate and work with others in football and basketball.

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?

The best advice I have ever received was from my grandpa. He told me sometimes it's better to be lucky than good, so don't worry about what you can't control.

What has been your favorite high school memory so far?

An absolute favorite high school memory is hard to pick out, but being at practice with my friends is something that I can look forward to every day.

What’s something most people don’t know about you?

I don't think that anyone really knows I'm a little superstitious, and at the beginning of the season I had won seven coin tosses in a row. I stick to certain pregame rituals and try not to give myself bad luck because I'll take anything that can help me.

How do you want to be remembered?

I want to be remembered as the person who always helped the guy next to him. I also want to be known as the guy who worked every day, no matter what.

Our o-line is the major reason our team is in the position we are now, I have to give those boys props. Also, we have a big coaching staff and every single one of them has helped me this season in one way or another. Also, two of our running backs, Karsen Freelove and Hayden Kincheloe, have gotten me into the weight room on the weekends, which has really helped me improve in an area I've always needed work to work on, so I'm super grateful for them.
