If you read my earlier blog, you know that I think Reggie Bush took money and made a mistake, but the temptation of loads of money to a young man right out of high school is just too hard to pass up. The NCAA, on the other hand, is a monetary monster that thinks they, and not the athlete, are the only ones who should make money on college sports.
Sports Illustrated has a new article on an ex-agent who started naming names on who he gave money to. My brother answered my earlier blog and said our annual bet between USC and UCLA, which he lost, should be reversed because Reggie was ineligible. Well, Glenn, check out the UCLA and USC names in the article. We've got a lot of forfeiting to do now. "He who is without sin, cast the first stone", and that's a cliche for college sports that is true. If we knew all the athletes that took money, the list would be astronomically long.
