Personal Bio:
I am 18 years old and just graduated from Hagerman High School class of 2014. I am the middle child of three. My older sister Whitney (22) is getting married this summer (go Whit) and my younger brother Cole 15 is entering the 10th grade. Keep hitting the weights bro.

In the twelve years I have been in Hagerman I have developed lifelong friends with many of my classmates. The HHS 2014 class is very competitive and it has paid off both in the classroom and in athletics. Both the boys and girls have been taking hardware from state tournaments over the past 4 years.

I am a life guard and also work the grounds at 1000 Springs Resort. I am an Eagle Scout and active church member. While attending HHS, I served in the Student Council, Hagerman Youth Action Committee and 2014 Honor Society President.

I live in a great community that supports us. Playing sports gave me a chance to connect with many former graduates. I’d like to give a shout out to a few that have been great to me and my team mates. Lori Osborne (she makes us treats before every football game) and Bud and Carol Ainsworth who make it to all our events no matter how far. Thank you!

I have recently accepted a calling to serve an LDS mission in Frankfurt, Germany. The opportunity to serve the people of Germany and learn another language is both exciting and scary. I know I will benefit from this opportunity.

When I return I plan to attend a university and study Biology (Pre Med). I hope to be a physical therapist.

After a two year mission I have been accepted both at Idaho State University and Utah State. I received offers from College of Idaho and an invitation to walk on at several other schools including BSU.

Being physically active and helping others in a medical career.

What is the best advice you have ever received and from who?:
“Hate to lose more than you love to win." - Coach Ron Echols

What advice can you give the kids coming up on how to get the most out of their high school careers?:
Work hard in the off season to be successful in the season.

Your thoughts on being selected as one of the inaugural IdahoSports.com Student-Athletes of the Year?:
It is an honor to be recognized for more than just being an athlete. Academics and service have always been more important to me. There are a lot of amazing student athletes in our great state, to be selected from them is awesome.

Nominated by Kevin Cato, AD at Hagerman HS:
" Kade has been an outstanding individual in our school and community. He has been recognized for his Athletic and Academic success yet those who know him best respect him for being kind to everyone around him. Kade cares for the less fortunate and thinks of others before himself. Kade has elected to forgo college football for a two year LDS Mission. Kade is a student athlete who defines going beyond the game. He has exemplified the ideals of being competitive and compassionate. "
