Offensive strengths/areas for improvement:
Kaden Goddard started at QB his Sophomore and Junior years, and had a great season last year with over 1,200 yards passing and 22 total TDs (18 passing and 4 rushing). He's put a ton of time in the weight room this winter/spring and has gotten much stronger and faster. He's as confident/calm/cool kid as I've ever coached. Caleb Bennett and Buddy Southwick will start for us at runningback and linebacker. They both have good size and speed. They have both put in countless hours running and lifting, and we expect that work added to their natural ability to create a lot of big plays for us running the football and on defense. Jordan Schwartz will also be a third year starter on both sides of the ball. He will move to guard after starting playing running back for us the last two seasons. We're doing this to fill in for two all-state athletes that we had at guard last season that graduated. He's as strong a kid as you'll see. Tallen Boyer will be a third year starter on the OL. He's a big kid that plays to the whistle.

Defensive strengths/areas for improvement:
Jordan Schwartz should be very disruptive. After playing D-Line for us as a sophomore and junior, we'll move him back to MLB where we feel like he'll cause our opponents a lot of problems with his smarts, quickness, and especially his strength. Riker Carter will a third year starter for us. He won the national high school bull riding championship last year as a sophomore. He's extremely fast and he plays football like he rides bulls - super tough and hard nosed. His speed and athleticism will have a huge impact as our free safety and at receiver on offense.

Special team Strengths:
We have to replace an All-State kicker who consistently gave us touch backs and gave us confidence on extra points/field goals from much further out than your average kicker. We'll need to find a kicker and punter.

Offensive Outlook:
We averaged over thirty points a game last year, and we feel confident that we can improve on that. Any time you have an experienced quarterback coming back it's easy to be excited about the offense. I think he will have a good line and several weapons around him that should give our opponents some headaches.

Defensive Outlook:
While we will have a smaller team than we were last year, I think we'll have more team speed. I expect that to show up mostly on the defensive line. We forced 25 turnovers last year and hope to improve on that this year.

Conference Outlook:
West Side has a new coach who I think will continue the great tradition there. They played a ton of sophomores last year, so I expect them to see the rewards of that this next fall and the following year. Aberdeen has a lot of holes to fill after last season, but Coach Hollingsworth does an incredible job with is program at being consistent. I don't see them missing much of a beat. Soda Springs and Grace will both continue to struggle for a couple more years I think, although I see Soda winning a couple of games after a winless campaign last year. Their freshmen coming in are good, but still a couple of years away.

Coach's Team Outlook:
We graduated a great bunch of seniors, and we only have ten seniors this season. This class is a special group though. Of those ten seniors, five started as sophomores. We will also have three juniors returning that started as sophomores. If we can stay healthy and continue to work hard through the summer, we should have a lot of fun this fall.

Coach's Team Summary:
We had a great season last year at 7-2 with one loss by a TD to Aberdeen, who finished third with their only loss being by a TD to state champ Parma in the semifinals, and our other loss to Declo (who we had beat earlier in the season), who finished second after losing by a point in overtime to state champ Parma. Our kids are hungry. Our coaching staff is hungry. The community is hungry.
