Key Players Lost:
Peter Caprio RB; Jordan Sussi WR; Devin Kessler TB

Incoming JV Players:
Kyle Whalen QB/FS; Clay Campbell OT/DT; Derik Straw FB/LB; Codi Clark TB/LB

Offensive strengths/areas for improvement:
Strong incoming JV players at the QB, FB and TB positions; with only two losses last season incoming Juniors play hard and disciplined football. We will be young and inexperienced at the varsity level but we should be able to have more wins than last season.

Defensive strengths/areas for improvement:
Speed and strength. Young and inexerienced at the varstity level but our returning seniors and incoming Juniors will play with discipline and tenacity. We will outhit our oppenents on every defensive play.

Special team Strengths:
Speed and agility. Our special teams will play hard and fast on KO, KO returns, punts, punt returns and PAT's. We will be young but will not allow this to be an excuse for our level of play on the field.

Offensive Outlook:
With a strong and successful JV season last year, Kyle Whalen will be a threat in the conference. Kyle can read and pick apart defenses like any great QB in the state at the large school level. With great off-season conditioning and keeping our players healthy in-season our backfield will pose a threat to defenses in the conference. Our Offensive line with 3 returners and several incoming Juniors will have strength and speed to open up holes at the LOS for our RB's.

Defensive Outlook:
Our defense will be young but there are points of interests and strengths. We will be strong and quick with our Linebacking core and there will be speed with our DB's. Our D-line will be strong as well with several returners and incoming Juniors from the successful JV program.

Conference Outlook:
We plan to play football and be a contention for state play-offs. Our conference is tough and we must maintain consistency, discipline and play hard to win some games. Fruitland, Weiser, and Payette are all tough in conference play but have lost some key players to graduation. But even with the loss of some seniors they still play well. Homedale will also be a threat in the conference with strength and speed. This will be our last season in this conference and we plan on leaving with a message in 09'. Go Vandals!

Coach's Team Outlook:
We weren't able to post a win last season but we were and still are in a re-building period for our football program. We believe the successes of our JV program last season with the incoming Juniors and 5 returners will take us to the next level of play at the varsity level. As coaches and players Vandal football believes we will continue to have and experience success on and off the football field.

Coach's Team Summary:
McCall-Donnelly Football is Championship football: Work Hard, Do Right and Be a Positive Influence. McCall-Donnelly Football: "On a scale of 1 to 10, Be an Eleven!"
