Kent Leiss Resigns As Coeur d'Alene High Boys Basketball Coach
Just one season into his second stint as Coeur d'Alene High's boys basketball coach, Kent Leiss resigned.
According to the Coeur d'Alene Press, there were irreconcilable differences between Leiss and the administration at CHS.
The biggest issue appears to have stemmed from a lack of available gym time. Leiss told the Press that his team was locked out of the gym from June 27th to November 1st, and had to practice on private courts and other venues instead.
Leiss went 8-14 last season, and 140-91 during his first run as Coeur d'Alene's coach from 2003 to 2013.

Owyhee Baseball Wins 12th Straight After Defeating Eagle
The Owyhee baseball team ran their winning streak to 12 in a row after dispatching Eagle 14-0 in a game shortened to six innings due to the ten-run rule.
Christian Zannitto once again dazzled on the mound for the Storm, allowing just three hits with six strikeouts.
The Idaho Press noted that due to excess rain on their field, Owyhee had to practice indoors the day before the game with Eagle. But instead of doing indoor drills, they played a game of kickball instead. The energy from that activity carried over to the game with Eagle.

Madison's Brielle Nite Continues To Excel In Circle
This time of year, when discussing an athlete doing great things in the circle, we assume it has to do with a softball pitcher.
But Madison senior Brielle Nite is rewriting the record books in the thrower's circles of shot put and discus.
The Idaho Statesman said that Nite already broke the school record in the shot put in March, and recently threw a personal best in the discus of 130 feet, 6 inches, which is second all-time at Madison.
