2018 2A WIC Football Anybody?
Really appreciate the team reviews that the Idahosports.co team puts together. Insightful stuff. Looking at WIC, 2A, will be interesting to see how healthy Brady Frame and Obidiah Gee can stay this season for the CVCHS Chargers. Track speed in both players that few 2A secondaries in the state can run with...may have a lot to do with Charger success. McCall-Donnelly players are weight room driven and over the past three seasons that's been paying big dividends for the Vandals on both sides of the ball. Early tilt with Orofino will be telling...for both teams. New Plymouth, the largest school in the conference, has some key losses and some improving upperclassmen. Tough read for now on how this team will come together. Likewise, Melba. Hoping to see Marsing leverage some rare talent, like Adonnis Stelsrud who can be a game changer for the Huskies and they'll need game changers to step up and out of the lower rankings of the conference. My choice for wild card is Nampa Christian. The Trojan team has 2018 2A State Championship Baseball and Track athletes and the best group of incoming freshman talent to leverage. With Grangeville and Orofino in the first three weeks, Nampa Christian probably has the toughest preseason schedule in the WIC, possibly in 2A. No doubt Coach Kotte can forge the Trojans into a WIC team to beat in 2018.
