Who do you have coming back this year?
Wyatt Younger WR/DB SR., Kael Stelck RB/LB JR., Tyler Anderson WR/DL JR., Kaden Jones RB/DB JR., Hunter Vallem OL/DL JR.

Any “Key Players” that you lost from last year?
We graduated nine seniors from last year’s team including Cody Brown (QB/DB), Clayton Beyer (RB/LB), Judah Stelck (OL/DL), Luke Joslin (OL/DL), and Par2 Jones (RB/DB). All nine seniors were great student-athletes with extraordinary leadership skills. Returning players will need to step up to fill the roles vacated by this group.

Do you have any new incoming “impact” players?
We have a great freshman class with ten players that we are looking forward to coaching. There are also a number of players that saw a lot of time last year that we will be relying on to fill bigger roles this year.
As a team, what are your offensive strengths?
We should be pretty fast on offense. We will continue to focus on an effective running game that will open up passing options. Morgan Beyer is stepping into the QB position and will look to improve as he gains experience in our system. Our backfield should be solid with Kaden Jones, Tyler Anderson, and Kael Stelck carrying the ball for us.

Offensive areas you hope to improve on over last year:
We are looking to be more balanced and efficient with our passing attack.

As a team, what are your defensive strengths?
Again, our team speed should be decent on the defensive side of the ball. Kael Stelck, Tyler Anderson, Kaden Jones, Wyatt Younger, and Hunter Vallem will look to contribute on defense. We try to play a very disciplined defense that doesn’t give up big plays. Having five guys returning with a lot of experience should help.

Defensive Areas you hope to improve on over last year:
Overall assignment discipline in pass defense.

What are you most excited about in regards to this year’s team?
We are very young and are looking forward to getting our young guys some game experience to hopefully contend by the end of the season. It’s always exciting to see kids find their roles on a team and contribute.

What is the ‘X-Factor’ to having success this season as a team?
With so many seniors departing at the end of last season, it will be important to find our leaders early on in the season. The level of commitment from our young players will determine the amount of success we have this year.
