As a team, what are your offensive strengths? Our offensive strengths in our 2014 season will be our backfield lead by two seniors, we will have the ability to be multi faceted running and passing with a good running back and a quarterback that throws well. Jake Lustig & Caleb Olson
Offensive areas you hope to improve on over last year: We have to be more physical upfront, our offensive lineman will have alot to prove in order for us to have success.
As a team, what are your defensive strengths? Defensively our strengths will be at our line backing positions, we are returning the same group of linebackers, they did a good job for us last year and continue to improve.
Defensive Areas you hope to improve on over last year: Our defensive line is an emphasis this year. No matter the set we are in we have to be able to apply pressure and disrupt the backfield more often.
What are you most excited about in regards to this year’s team? I am really excited to combine leagues with the 1A DII teams from the north, they will really mix up the league and it will be nice to not have to play every team twice in one season like last year.
For the fans, what is the must-see game of the year on your schedule? Deary, they are our biggest rivals in league. They got the best of us last year and we have alot to prove and they will be a tough opponent again this year.
What is the ‘X-Factor’ to having success this season as a team? Physicallity will be the x factor for us this year.
Besides the pay, the fame and the glory, why do you coach high school football? I simply love the sport and the kids. I think there is alot to be learned from sports as I did when I was in high school and college, I want to relay this message to todays youth.
What makes your school the best place to coach for? The tight knit community of Kendrick is awesome, and really supports the towns athletic teams.
