Any “Key Players” that you lost from last year?
We lost three key seniors all were linemen and were all league players in previous years.

As a team, what are your offensive strengths?
We are going to need to spend the first couple of games to determine our teams offensive strengths. Our running game should be pretty solid with our returning running backs. But our line is very inexperienced and has to show great improvement in order for us to have any success.

Offensive areas you hope to improve on over last year:
Consistency – we had too many games with possessions last year that resulted in turnovers or three and outs. The offense has to become more consistent and eliminate the negative plays.

Defensive Areas you hope to improve on over last year:
We need to get much better at not giving up the big play. We also allowed teams to convert a high percentage of third and fourth downs. We will emphasize that this season – we must get the defense off the field by making plays on those crucial downs.

Does your team have a motto/theme for the upcoming season?
Get It Back -- “Winning record, state playoffs, respect.”

What are you most excited about in regards to this year’s team?
We had a bunch of youth and key injuries last season. It will be nice to have those players return a year older and bigger.

For the fans, what is the must-see game of the year on your schedule?
Every game because this team will be competitive this season and bring back the pride of the rich Kamiah Football tradition.

What is the ‘X-Factor’ to having success this season as a team?
Taylor McAlister – he is very explosive if he can stay healthy he has the ability to make a big difference in our team. Also our seniors – they need to demonstrate great leadership skills to help this team through tough times during the season.

What makes your school the best place to coach for?
The Kamiah Football Tradition – The community, alumni and students all care about Kamiah Football.
