Defensive Areas you hope to improve on over last year: Tackling

What are you most excited about in regards to this year’s team? These are great kids. I am excited to get to coach them this year and see what they can accomplish.
For the fans, what is the must-see game of the year on your schedule? All of them. The SRV is loaded this year. We will have to bring our A game every week. It will be an exciting year!
What is the ‘X-Factor’ to having success this season as a team? Come together as a team and improve each week.
If you could change one rule in high school football, what would it be? The rule I would change is the rule regarding only 3 coaches in the box at a time. I understand the safety part of the rule but at time it makes it very difficult for coaches to see and to communicate with their players.
Besides the pay, the fame and the glory, why do you coach high school football? To me it is exciting to be around these young men, be a part of their lives and be a great role model for them. I was molded by my high school coach and I hope someday I can do the same for one my players.
What makes your school the best place to coach for? We get great support from the Administration, school board, Parents, teachers and the community. We also just have great kids. I love coaching the Grizzlies!!!
