As a team, what are your offensive strengths?
One of our strengths this year is in our depth at running back. We will have seven running backs rotating that will all be a scoring threat. Hilario Carrillo, Christian Bravo, Tony Lemos, Ethan Elliott, Ricky Sanchez, Baltazar Ortiz, and Juan Juarez.
Our line is not huge but they are very strong and quick. Anchored by Caden Palmer at Center, Stetson Nielson, Cody Harris, Caesar Cerna, Isaac Hernandez, Chance Powell, Carter Leishman, and TJ Phillips should allow us to be able to have a great rotation of linemen that can stay fresh the whole game.
Offensive areas you hope to improve on over last year:
Flawless execution.
As a team, what are your defensive strengths?
Defensively with Oscar Klassen and Ethan Elliott at the corners they are going to give other teams passing games problems. Both are very fast and love to make plays. Hilario Carrillo and Juan Juarez with be tough at outside linebacker for teams to get outside. On our defensive line Stetson Nielson and Caden Palmer should have a good year. We will also have a good rotation at middle linebacker with Christian Bravo, Tony Lemos, Cody Harris, and Caesar Cerna.
Defensive Areas you hope to improve on over last year:
We need to be stronger against the run. We got hurt in a couple of games with our run defense.
For the fans, what is the must-see game of the year on your schedule?
Aberdeen @ Westside, if we can go into Dayton and win it could be the conference championship.
Besides the pay, the fame and the glory, why do you coach high school football?
Help try to make football a good experience for the kids and hopefully help develop them into good men and citizens.
