Defensive Areas you hope to improve on over last year: Aggressiveness
What are you most excited about in regards to this year’s team? The excitement they bring! They love to play!
For the fans, what is the must-see game of the year on your schedule? Mtn. View and Rocky. Its always a dog fight and those are two strong teams!
What is the ‘X-Factor’ to having success this season as a team? Chemistry!
If you could change one rule in high school basketball, what would it be? I would add a 30 sec. shot clock. It speeds up the game and eliminates the stalling which is boring to watch as a fan.
Besides the pay, the fame and the glory, why do you coach high school basketball? I coach because I want to have a positive impact in the lives of the players I come into contact with. I want each player to see their value on the team and believe that they hold the tools for their own success. My goal is that these players can take the tools and lessons they have learned and apply it to their life beyond their current season. It is my top priority that these players develop into young women of character and are great members of this community, excelling as student athletes and are poised and ready to go to college.
What makes your school the best place to coach for? We have a tremendous support staff in our administrators and faculty and a community at Centennial who is actively involved in our player’s growth as people and students. The students are all great to work with and I wouldn’t want to be any other place!
