Do you have any new incoming “impact” players?
Kylee Garrick, Brittany Verigan were our leading scorers. We have a good sophomore class and are looking forward to having them involved in the varsity program.

As a team, what are your offensive strengths?
Our team will be quick and should be able to successfully run the fast break. When needed, we have the kids that can execute and offense set.

Offensive areas you hope to improve on over last year:
Shooting percentage, turnovers and improve and use our inside game more.

As a team, what are your defensive strengths?
Because we are quick we will full court press most teams. We have kids that play well together and have the ability and pride to guard hard. Hopefully we can convert steals to points. Our defensive leader is Kylee Garrick.

Defensive Areas you hope to improve on over last year:
Rebounding and our match up zone.

Does your team have a motto/theme for the upcoming season?
Play hard, play smart and play together

What are you most excited about in regards to this year’s team?
This is a great group of dedicated kids that have the ability to be very successful. Watching them guard will be exciting.

For the fans, what is the must-see game of the year on your schedule?
Melba because they beat us in the state tournament last year

What is the ‘X-Factor’ to having success this season as a team?
Defense

Besides the pay, the fame and the glory, why do you coach high school basketball?
Basketball is my passion. I am excited for every season. I love the fact that I get to be involved in the lives of these kids and have the opportunity to influence them. Watching the athletes come together and succeed is a fantastic feeling.

What makes your school the best place to coach for?
We have great teachers and administration, supportive parents and dedicated athletes.
