As a team, what are your offensive strengths?
This will be Rachael Frei, Sara Chmelik, and Megan Rehder 4th year together on the varsity. They know each other’s moves fairly well by now and all can shoot from the outside well.

Offensive areas you hope to improve on over last year:
Last year our number of turnovers killed us in most of the games. This year we plan to work on passing and dribbling a lot more.

As a team, what are your defensive strengths?
The team as a whole functions very well together and can switch defenses quickly during play.

Defensive Areas you hope to improve on over last year:
This is an area where we got into a lot of foul trouble last year and we do not have that many players to afford this.

Does your team have a motto/theme for the upcoming season?
Stay focused, all for the glory of God.

What are you most excited about in regards to this year’s team?
Despite a poor year last year in the win side, the girls are very upbeat and always set their goals high. They always play well together.

For the fans, what is the must-see game of the year on your schedule?
All of our district games are a must-see because any team can beat the other.

What is the ‘X-Factor’ to having success this season as a team?
Turnovers

If you could change one rule in high school basketball, what would it be?
I think for a girls game they should call the game a little closer so no one gets hurt.

Besides the pay, the fame and the glory, why do you coach high school basketball?
This bunch of girls are just a joy to coach and they alone are the reason.

What makes your school the best place to coach for?
Being an independent school, we can set goals much different then other schools. Here at this school we always play for the glory of God. Winning in never a goal we strive for.
