Who do you have coming back this year? Lexi Smith (Senior, 5'7 Guard, 5ppg) Shayna Allert (Junior, 5'7 Guard, 4ppg) Sam Runkle (Junior, 5'9 Wing, 2ppg)
Any “Key Players” that you lost from last year? Dani Failor Idaho Gatorade Player of Year, Hallie Gennett 1st Team All State, Brooke Litalien 2nd Team All State, Katie King Pt. Guard. All 4 players moved on to play in college so they will obviously be missed.
Do you have any new incoming “impact” players? The 3 returning players will need to be a major factor in our team success until some of the inexperienced players catch up.

As a team, what are your offensive strengths? Our overall team speed should allow us to get out in transition. We have some capable shooters who should allow us to spread the floor and attack the basket. Allert and Smith are equally effective shooting outside or attacking the basket. Runkle is a tough match up for most teams. Kim Reynolds and Madison King provide outside shooting threats.
Offensive areas you hope to improve on over last year: This years team will have a different look than last year when we had a dominant post (Dani Failor). Runkle may be our biggest player at 5-9. Hopefully we can spread the floor and cause mismatches. Someone coming up from the JV’s is going to have to step up.
As a team, what are your defensive strengths? Due to our lack of size we won’t be able to play most teams straight up, so we will rely on trapping and disrupting teams. All 3 returning players are good defenders who can guard multiple positions.
What is the ‘X-Factor’ to having success this season as a team? The X factor for this team is obviously going to be how fast the kids coming up from JV adjust to the varsity level. With only 3 returning players and a general lack of size they are going to have to adjust quickly. If a majority of them can prove themselves capable of competing at this level we could be a factor come tournament time.
