Who do you have coming back this year?
Ryker Maupin, (guard, 12, 5’9”) Cade Schaat – (guard, 12, 5’9”) Con Bauer – (guard, 11, 6’7”) Wyatt Sommer – (guard, 12, 5’6”)

Any Returning Players with Honors?
Con Bauer- all conference and Ryker Maupin – all conference honorable mention

Any “Key Players” that you lost from last year?
We lost most of our inside players – Dakota Wilson, Micah Pope, and Zach Trost. It will be difficult to replace their size and physical play.

Do you have any new incoming “impact” players?
Shane Hill, (guard, 12, 5’8”) Chandler Campbell, (post, 12, 6’2”) Charles Olinger, (post, 12, 6’2”) Junior Gonzalez, (guard, 11, 5’11”) Joe Davenport, (post, 11, 6’2”) Rhett Potter, (post, 11, 6’3”) Alec Pope, (guard, 10, 5’9”)
As a team, what are your offensive strengths?
Our greatest strength is our quickness and perimeter scoring. If we use our quickness, we hope to be able to get to the free throw line and get our opponents in foul trouble.

Offensive areas you hope to improve on over last year:
Our biggest concerns are inside scoring and physical play in the post. We graduated all our post experience and we have some good posts coming up, but we will need to gain some experience in the early going to strengthen that area.

As a team, what are your defensive strengths?
Our greatest strength defensively is our quickness and ability to pressure the perimeter. If we work as a team on the defensive end of the floor, I think it can become a real strength throughout the season.

Defensive Areas you hope to improve on over last year:
We will have to work hard on boxing out as we are not very big. Turning good defensive efforts into rebounds will be an important key for us to be successful this year.

What are you most excited about in regards to this year’s team?
We have the athleticism to play an exciting brand of basketball this year.

For the fans, what is the must-see game of the year on your schedule?
We have such a challenging conference that any conference game is a real test for us.

If you could change one rule in high school basketball, what would it be?
I would like to see a shot clock added to the game because it would end the boring slow down strategies that teams sometimes try to use.

What makes your school the best place to coach for?
South Fremont is a special place. Now that I am in the second year here, I have come to realize that we have some great kids to coach and work with. I am very happy at South Fremont.
