As a team, what are your offensive strengths? We are balanced in scoring. Any one player could have a big night. We won’t be relying on any one person.
Offensive areas you hope to improve on over last year: Our biggest improvement needs to be rebounding. We also lost a great point guard to graduation so we’ll have to pick up the slack there.
As a team, what are your defensive strengths? Defensively we will play hard on defense and try to help each other in our team defensive concepts
Defensive Areas you hope to improve on over last year: Again here we need to rebound much better
Does your team have a motto/theme for the upcoming season? Win the last game of the season
What are you most excited about in regards to this year’s team? Good depth and great coachable kids
For the fans, what is the must-see game of the year on your schedule? Conference games are always huge for us.
What is the ‘X-Factor’ to having success this season as a team? Desire. How bad do we want it? I feel the talent is here if we can put out the effort and attitude it takes to be winners.
If you could change one rule in high school basketball, what would it be? The rules are ok. Sometimes I think there is a little too much hand checking etc. but overall things are pretty good.
Besides the pay, the fame and the glory, why do you coach high school basketball? Totally to try to help the kids learn how to be successful in basketball and life.
What makes your school the best place to coach for? We have great kids and community.
