Two days of the 2016 'Real Dairy Shootout' are in the books and now we've reached the pinnacle of the sport at the high school level: Super Saturday!
Eighteen games remain for the Saturday slate which kicks off bright and early at 9:15 a.m. at six locations around the Treasure Valley, with the state championship contests starting at 9:30 a.m. No matter the outcome of each game, it will be the final game of the season for each team involved.
We've seen great games throughout all six classifications and we hope that we will see even more great games today. I certainly hope so as I'll be in attendance at the Ford Idaho Center for all of the state championship games.
As for my game predictions, I've actually done rather well thus far. On Thursday, I picked 22 of 24 games correctly. On Friday, I regressed slightly, but still went 21 of 24 on those picks.
Now, we've reached Super Saturday and the 18 games that remain are the final games on the girls slate this season. It's been a fun season, but it went way too fast. I (and hopefully you) will be able to enjoy the last day of the girls season (and then get geared up for boys state in two weeks).
With that, here are my game predictions for 'Super Saturday'.

Third Place Game: Boise over Eagle
Consolation Final: Lake City over Hillcrest
Class 4A
State Championship: Century over Bishop Kelly
Third Place Game: Minico over Sandpoint
Consolation Final: Burley over Rigby
Class 3A
State Championship: Timberlake over Marsh Valley
Third Place Game: Teton over Shelley
Consolation Final: Emmett over Kimberly
Class 2A
State Championship: West Jefferson over Soda Springs
Third Place Game: West Side over New Plymouth
Consolation Final: Ririe over Cole Valley

State Championship: Lapwai over Prairie
