The Ambrose Archers are on the rise.  The private school in Meridian qualified for the 3A State Tournament last year and finished with a winning record of 16-7 overall and 6-1 in Western Idaho Conference play.  The year prior, they were 8-10 and 4-3, respectively.  That's a huge different between the 2023 and 2024 campaigns, and this year they are continuing their climb.

Ambrose is currently 15-1 and they are the champions of the Idaho Classic that took place this past weekend at Mountain View High School in Meridian.  Ambrose defeated Horseshoe Bend in the championship and are looking very strong.

Ambrose is led by junior Anna Campbell and junior Eva Pinnex.  Both lead the way in kills, blocks, and hitting percentage.  Campbell also leads the way for Ambrose and the entire WIC conference in aces and digs.  Having players like Campbell and Pinnex are real game-changers, as they can come out and take over a game.  It makes no difference if they're playing in the front or in the back row.

This team has really improved and their progression is impressive.  Their ball control and anticipation of the game has really helped them remain calm and confident under pressure, especially when playing through longer rallies.  Congrats to Ambrose and we are happy to see their progression continue!

Over in eastern Idaho, the Madison Bobcats continue to set the standard.

The Bobcats are now 4-0 with wins over local rivals Skyline, Idaho Falls, Rigby and Bonneville.  Madison is known for a strong volleyball program and their legacy continues with a new group eager to work toward another championship this season.

This year's Madison team is led by eight seniors from the Class of 2026.  Mia Walsh is currently leading the Bobcats in kills, hitting percentage, blocks, and digs.

This team is loaded with talent and loaded with experience that they've turned into useful knowledge.  We love to see it girls and are excited to watch you compete all season!

Another team continuing a run of excellence from east Idaho is Bear Lake.  Bear Lake is a younger, but still experienced, team that is continuing a run of dominance as well.

The Bears won the Cokeville Invitational earlier this year in Wyoming, and they are 15-1 overall.  Their only loss came against Malad in a tight match.

Bear Lake is led by KortLyn Skinner and Avery Hunter.  This team has great chemistry, and that helps carry them through the pressure and highs and lows of a set.  They are consistently working on their skills and chemistry!

And finally, way up north, the Coeur d'Alene Vikings lead the way with an 11-0 record this season.  They've defeated Lakeland, Sandpoint and Post Falls, among others.  They are 4-0 in the Inland Empire League and played intense volleyball in winning the Rip-A-Shot Tournament at Freeman High School in Washington this past weekend.

The Vikings are led by Kaylee Paulson and Camryn Fartar.  Both outside hitters are heavily relied on to score and make plays, and both are handling the pressure well.  These senior captains are keeping the standard high and the level of play consistent.  We love to see the Vikings' progression and can't wait to see more!

There is lots of amazing play happening across the state.  Keep going girls!
