April has arrived, and Idaho high school track athletes are already recording impressive times and marks.

Athletes from Coeur d'Alene, Coeur d'Alene Charter, Mountain View, Vallivue, Bonners Ferry and Ridgevue competed at the two-day Oregon Relays over the weekend at the University of Oregon's Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore., a meet which drew teams from Oregon, Colorado, Washington, California, Utah, Nevada, Illinois and Canada.

Mountain View senior Joseph Miraya won the varsity boys shot put title with a mark of 60 feet, 1.25 inches and also placed sixth in varsity boys discus (165-2) and seventh in varsity boys hammer throw (156-11). Miraya's teammate Quincy Keller placed fifth in the varsity girls 200 in 24.73 and was also part of Mountain View's fifth place finish in the varsity girls 4x100 with Addie Lee, Talia Johnson and Taysia Johnson in 48.39. Mountain View's boys 4x800 team of Austin Riley, Benjamin Jensen, Alden Chamberlain and Koda VanDahlen placed fourth in 8:01.05 and the boys 4x100 team of Cashton Gennette, Jacob Allen, Catcher Gennette and Beau Stewart placed seventh in 42.79.

Additionally, Mountain View also earned medals in girls field events with junior Kami Clayton placing fourth in varsity girls shot put with 39-9.75, senior Madilyn McCarty placing fourth in varsity girls discus with 127-6 and junior Kristin Geiser placing fifth in varsity girls high jump upon clearing 5-1. Mountain View's Behr Scott placed fourth in the freshman boys 100 final in 11.38 and he joined Omar Osman, Beau Stewart and Keoni Valko to place fifth in the boys 800 sprint medley relay in 1:36.65.

Coeur d'Alene twin brothers Zackery and Max Cervi-Skinner, both seniors, placed second and third, respectively, in the varsity boys 2-mile with times of 9:01.26 and 9:01.35. Those time are also the No. 2 and No. 3 fastest times in the U.S. so far this season in the boys 2-mile, per athletic.net as of April 6. Converted to 3,200 meters, Zackery Cervi-Skinner's time is 8:58.33 and Max's is 8:58.50, which puts them at No. 14 and No. 16 in the U.S. this season in the boys 3,200 as of April 6 per athletic.net and also No. 5 and No. 6 all-time on record in Idaho for the event. Their teammate, senior Kyle Rohlinger, placed eighth in the boys 2k steeplechase finals in 6:18.67, putting him at No. 17 in the U.S. this season as of April 6 per athletic.net. The Cervi-Skinner twins along with sophomore Wyatt Carr and junior Mitchell Rietze placed fifth in the boys distance medley relay in 10:12.09.

Coeur d'Alene Charter junior Annabelle Carr placed seventh in varsity girls 800 finals in 2:14.99 and Bonners Ferry junior Hallie Hartman placed fifth in varsity girls shot put with a mark of 39-2.25.

In boys 300 hurdles finals, Nampa senior Tegon Lords won in a personal best 37.21 while Boise senior Chase Lawyer was second in a personal best 37.23. Those times put Lords and Lawyer at No. 2 and No. 3 all-time on record in Idaho in the event behind Highland's Van Orden, as these three boys are the only ones on record in Idaho to break 37.30 in the event. Additionally, those times put Lords and Lawyer at No. 17 and No. 18 in the U.S. in the event as of April 6 per athletic.net.
