6A First Round Game | Madison 48, Eagle 45
No. 6 seeded Madison scored 18 points off turnovers and began the 6A state tournament with a win over No. 3 Eagle.
After trailing 12-7 in the first quarter, the Bobcats held the Mustangs to two points in the second quarter. A competitive second half ended with the Bobcats icing the win with free throws following a missed 3-point shot by Eagle's Porter Wood.
IdahoSports Player of the Game Mia Walsh had 19 points, four rebounds, two assists and two steals while Maggie Anderson added 11 points for Madison (17-8), which will play No. 2 seeded Boise in Friday's semifinals.
Taya Nelson had 11 points and five rebounds, Bella Thompson had 10 points and five assists and Wood added 10 points and five rebounds for Eagle (19-6), which plays No. 7 seeded Rigby in Friday's consolation bracket.
6A First Round Game | Boise 51, Rigby 42
No. 2 seeded Boise began the state tournament with its second victory over No. 7 seeded Rigby this season to extend its win streak to 13 games.
Boise scored 14 poins off 18 turnovers and had three players finish the game with double-figure scoring: IdahoSports Player of the Game Kaity Haan (15 points, 10 rebounds, two blocks, three steals), Morgan Montgomery (12 points, four assists) and Avery Patricco (10 points). The Brave (22-3) will play No. 6 seeded Madison in Friday's semifinals.
Sydney Berrett had nine points and Tiade Togiai had eight points to lead Rigby (16-8), which plays No. 3 seeded Eagle in Friday's consolation bracket.

No. 1 seeded Owyhee won a first-round state tournament game for the first time in program history, keeping a historic season rolling on with a win over No. 8 seeded Capital.
The Storm scored 18 points in the paint and led by as much as 16 points in the victory.
IdahoSports Player of the Game Riley Beck had 13 points, five rebounds and three blocks while Mikale Roy added 13 points and seven rebounds for Owyhee (23-2), which plays No. 5 seeded Coeur d'Alene in Friday's semifinals.
Miriam Stafford had 13 points and three assists while Elayna Jolly added nine points for Capital (13-14), which plays No. 4 seeded Borah in Friday's consolation bracket.

No. 5 seeded and two-time 5A state champion Coeur d'Alene had a strong second half to defeat No. 4 seeded Borah for a first- round win.
The Vikings endured seven lead changes and seven ties in the win.
IdahoSports Player of the Game Brookslee Colvin had 28 points, six rebounds, two assists and three steals and went 15-of-18 at the free throw line, Lexie Wheeler had eight points and eight rebounds and Kelsey Caroll had eight points and seven rebounds for Coeur d'Alene (17-7), which plays No. 1 seeded Owyhee in Friday's semifinals.
5A First Round Game | Middleton 75, Sandpoint 35
No. 3 seeded Middleton outscored Sandpoint 40-19 in the second half en route to a first-round state tournament victory to extend its win streak to 20 games.
The Vikings lit up the nets in the win, ending the game making 45 percent of shots from the field, 46.7 percent from 3-point range and 70 percent from the free-throw line. They also beat the Bulldogs on the glass with a 38-23 rebounding edge and took advantage of 24 Sandpoint turnovers by scoring 27 points.
IdahoSports Player of the Game Dawn Holman, a freshman, had 13 points and three steals while Elsie Wyatt added 15 points and Olivia Blackwell added 13 points and four rebounds for Middleton (24-1), which plays No. 2 seeded Mountain Home in Friday's semifinals.
Livia Driggs had 11 points to lead Sandpoint (14-11), which plays No. 7 seeded Jerome in Friday's consolation bracket.
5A First Round Game | Mountain Home 50, Jerome 39
No. 2 seeded Mountain Home defeated No. 7 seeded Jerome for the fifth time this season in an all-District 4 first-round state tournament game.
Mountain Home led by as much as 14 points in the game, which had only two lead changes.
IdahoSports Player of the Game Payton Blodgett finished with 10 points and seven rebounds while Lexi Longhurst added 11 points, four rebounds, two assists and two steals for Mountain Home (20-4), which plays No. 3 seeded Middleton in Friday's semifinals.
Sawyer Garrard had 10 points, eight rebounds and three steals to lead Jerome (17-9), which plays No. 6 seeded Sandpoint in Friday's consolation bracket.
5A First Round Game | Pocatello 59, Bishop Kelly 55
No. 1 seeded Pocatello outlasted No. 8 seeded Bishop Kelly for a first-round win.
The Thunder endured six lead changes in the victory and grabbed 41 rebounds.
IdahoSports Player of the Game Kenna Garza of Pocatello had a double-double of 22 points and 15 rebounds and teammate Abby Lusk scored 19 points and had 10 rebounds, surpassing 1,000 career points in the process.
Pocatello (22-2) plays No. 4 seeded Blackfoot in Friday's semifinals.
Brooke Hutchinson had 23 points, five assists and four steals and Abby Swan had 11 points and eight rebounds for Bishop Kelly (17-8), which plays No. 5 seeded Skyline in Friday's consolation bracket.
5A First Round Game | Blackfoot 50, Skyline 45
No. 5 seeded Blackfoot beat No. 4 seeded Skyline for the third time this season, surviving 10 lead changes in the win.
The Broncos had 26 points in the paint in the victory.

Shay Shippen, Idaho's all-time leading scorer in girls basketball, had 18 points, six rebounds, three assists and three steals and Macy Marlow added 12 points and four steals for Skyline (16-9), which plays No. 8 seeded Bishop Kelly in Friday's consolation bracket.

South Fremont senior Brianne Bailey began the state tournament with a double-double in a win over No. 6 seeded Fruitland.
Bailey, a Montana State signee who received IdahoSports Player of the Game, had 12 points, 15 rebounds, four assists and six steals for the No. 3 seeded Cougars, who dominated on the glass with 55 total rebounds.
Hayden Larson added 14 points and 16 rebounds for another double-double for South Fremont (22-5), which plays No. 2 seeded Bear Lake in Friday's semifinals.
Aleksi Drollinger had 16 points and Payson Bratcher had 11 points for Fruitland (13-10),which plays No. 7 seeded McCall-Donnelly in Friday's consolation bracket.
4A First Round Game | Bear Lake 55, McCall-Donnelly 14
No. 2 seeded Bear Lake began the state tournament in dominant fashion with a win over No. 7 seeded McCall-Donnelly.
The Bears not only held the Vandals to single-digit scoring in each quarter, but to 16 percent field goal shooting for the game. Bear Lake scored 28 points off 32 McCall-Donnelly turnovers.
IdahoSports Player of the Game Emyri Walker had 13 points while Saydee Shaul added eight points and seven steals for Bear Lake (21-3), which plays No. 3 seeded South Fremont in an all-eastern Idaho semifinal on Friday.
Emma Ormsby and Ada Mae Kershaw each had three points for McCall-Donnelly (13-12), which plays No. 6 seeded Fruitland in Friday's consolation bracket.
4A First Round Game | Sugar-Salem 68, Gooding 28
No. 1 seeded Sugar-Salem held No. 8 seeded Gooding scoreless in the second quarter and got points from nine players in a first-round state tournament win to remain undefeated.
The Diggers shot 49.1 percent from the floor and finished the game with 41 rebounds.
IdahoSports Player of the Game Sophia Dougherty had 19 points and six rebounds, Andee Petterson had 17 points, six rebounds, two assists and three steals and Nika Nead had 10 points and six rebounds for Sugar-Salem (24-0), which plays No. 4 seeded Timberlake in Friday's semifinals.
Camryn Rycraft had eight points for Gooding (12-13), which plays No. 5 seeded Kimberly in Friday's consolation bracket.
4A First Round Game | Timberlake 53, Kimberly 44
Malia Miller made her return to the state tournament with a double-double for No. 4 seeded Timberlake in a first-round win over No. 5 seeded Kimberly.
Miller, who missed last season due to an ACL tear, had 21 points, 12 rebounds, three assists and six steals for the Tigers to receive IdahoSports Player of the Game. The game had five lead changes and four ties. Diana Nelson added six points and 14 rebounds for Timberlake (20-3), which plays No. 1 seeded Sugar-Salem in Friday's semifinals.
Taya Plew had 18 points and seven rebounds while Berkley Dille scored 11 points for Kimberly (16-8), which plays No. 8 seeded Gooding in Friday's consolation bracket.
3A First Round Game | Melba 60, New Plymouth 42
No. 3 seeded Melba shot 61.1 percent from the field and overcame 10 lead changes and four ties en route to a first-round win over No. 6 seeded New Plymouth.
The Mustangs also shot 55.6 percent from 3, including a 4-for-8 performance by Ellie Johnson.
IdahoSports Player of the Game Tariah Carter had 24 points while Darby Lowber added 17 points and five steals for Melba (18-5), which plays No. 2 seeded Parma in Friday's semifinals.
Maycee Christensen had 14 points, Hope Hailey had 13 points and Laci Eagy had 11 points for New Plymouth (18-8), which plays No. 7 seeded Soda Springs in Friday's consolation bracket.
3A First Round Game | Parma 49, Soda Springs 24
No. 2 seeded Parma held No. 7 seeded Soda Springs to single-digit scoring in the first three quarters and led by as much as 34 points in a first-round state tournament win.
The Panthers, who outrebounded the Cardinals 48-32, finished the game shooting 40 percent from the field compared to 17 percent by Soda Springs.
IdahoSports Player of the Game Kaidance Kaiser had eight points, seven rebounds and two steals while Aarey Harris had 15 points, and Haylee Gentry added 13 points and six rebounds for Parma (21-2), which plays No. 3 seeded Melba in Friday's semifinals.
Jayden Parker had eight points while Rosie Harris added six points for Soda Springs (11-12), which plays No. 6 seeded New Plymouth in Friday's consolation bracket.

No. 1 seeded Malad led by as much as 22 points in a first-round win over No. 8 seeded North Fremont.
The Dragons held the Huskies to one point in the first quarter and shot 38.5 percent from the field in the game.
IdahoSports Player of the Game Mikell Keetch had eight points, four rebounds and two steals and Jones had 10 points for Malad (23-1), which plays No. 4 seeded Grangeville in Friday's semifinals.
Taylor Sessions had nine points and Peyton Lenz had eight points for North Fremont (13-14), which faces District 6 foe Ririe in Friday's consolation bracket.
3A First Round Game | Grangeville 51, Ririe 43
No. 4 seeded Grangeville defeated No. 5 seeded Ririe for the second time this season for a first-round win.
Grangeville led by as much as 19 points in the victory.

Lexi Huettig nearly had a double-double in No. 3 seeded Valley's first-round win over No. 6 seeded Lakeside.
Huettig, who received IdahoSports Player of the Game, had 12 points, nine rebounds and four assists for the Vikings, who led by as much as 24.
Joanie Lewis added 10 points and four steals and Alora Godfrey had six points and 10 rebounds for Valley (20-5), which plays No. 2 seeded Prairie in Friday's semifinals.
Kyleigh Wolfe scored 12 points and had four steals for Lakeside (13-8), which plays No. 7 seeded Liberty Charter in Friday's consolation bracket.
2A First Round Game | Prairie 64, Liberty Charter 22
No. 2 seeded Prairie scored 43 points off 34 turnovers by No. 7 seeded Liberty Charter and snagged 49 total rebounds in a first-round state tournament win.
The Pirates led 35-11 at halftime and 53-16 after three quarters.

Rockland began the 1A state tournament with a tight win over familiar District 5-6 foe Challis in a defensive battle.
No.3 seeded Rockland trailed No. 6 seeded Challis 13-11 at halftime, ultimately coming away victorious after five lead changes and five ties in a low-scoring game. The teams combined for 78 total rebounds.
IdahoSports Player of the Game Alexa Permann made the game-winning basket to finish with seven points and 10 rebounds while Calyn Permann added nine points, five rebounds and seven steals for Rockland (19-5), which plays No. 2 seeded Carey in Friday's semifinals.
Jalie Oerke had 10 points and six rebounds to lead Challis (16-7), which plays No. 7 seeded Mackay in Friday's consolation bracket.
