5A First Round | Lake City 44, Rocky Mountain 39

The top-seeded Timberwolves (21-3) were pushed by eighth seeded Rocky Mountain (12-14), but ultimately prevailed.  Allie Bowman was named IdahoSports.com Player of the Game in the win.  Lake City will take on Boise in the semifinals, while Rocky Mountain will face Post Falls in a loser out game.

5A First Round | Boise 52, Post Falls 38

The fifth seeded Brave (20-3) pulled away from the fourth seeded Trojans (18-8) to punch their ticket to the semifinals.  Ashley Banks dominated inside for Boise, and was the IdahoSports.com Player of the Game.  Boise advances to the semifinals, where Lake City awaits.  Post Falls will meet Rocky Mountain in a loser out matchup.

5A First Round | Rigby 62, Thunder Ridge 47

After losing to Thunder Ridge a week earlier in the District 5-6 championship game, the sixth-seeded Trojans (19-5) exacted revenge over the third seeded Titans (20-4) with a first round victory.  Kylie Dansie was named IdahoSports.com Player of the Game after leading Rigby with 18 points.  The Trojans will take on Timberline in the semifinals.  Thunder Ridge will battle Borah in a loser out contest.

5A First Round | Timberline 42, Borah 39

In a tight battle between district rivals, second seeded Timberline (23-2) survived sixth seeded Borah's (18-7) best effort.  Sophie Glancey was named IdahoSports.com Player of the Game, as the Timberwolves advanced to a semifinal date with Rigby.  Borah will now face Thunder Ridge in a loser out game.

4A First Round | Blackfoot 53, Bishop Kelly 35

Despite the final margin of victory, eighth seeded Bishop Kelly (18-7) pushed top seeded Blackfoot (25-0) for a majority of the contest.  Espi Vergara was named IdahoSports.com Player of the Game.  Vergara went 5-of-6 from three-point range, and 6-of-8 overall on her way to 19 points.  Blackfoot now advances to the semifinals, where district rival Skyline awaits.  Bishop Kelly will play Mountain Home in a loser out game.

4A First Round | Skyline 55, Mountain Home 47

The fourth seeded Grizzlies (14-13) shot past fifth seeded Mountain Home (18-7) behind the impressive play of Shay Shippen.  She tallied 23 points, including a 3-of-6 performance from the three-point line, and added 5 rebounds to her IdahoSports.com Player of the Game resume.  Skyline will face district rival Blackfoot in the semifinals.  Mountain Home will play Bishop Kelly in a loser out contest.

4A First Round | Preston 42, Sandpoint 24

The third seeded Indians (17-7) took care of sixth seeded Sandpoint (12-9) in a first round matchup.  Hailey Meek led the way for Preston with 10 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists, and earned IdahoSports.com Player of the Game honors.  Preston advances to the semifinals, where Burley awaits.  Sandpoint will take on Middleton in a loser out game.

4A First Round | Burley 50, Middleton 39

In a tight game through and through, the second seeded Bobcats (23-1) made enough plays down the stretch to put away seventh seeded Middleton (18-7).  Amari Whiting was named IdahoSports.com Player of the Game after leading Burley with 35 points and 19 rebounds.  Burley will take on Preston in the semifinals.  Middleton drops into a loser out game with Sandpoint.

3A First Round | Sugar-Salem 59, Filer 35

The top-seeded Diggers (20-2) breezed past eighth seeded Filer (14-10) in their first round matchup.  Kennedy Gillette led Sugar-Salem with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists, and was named IdahoSports.com Player of the Game.  The Diggers will meet Parma in the semifinals, while Filer will battle Weiser in a loser out game.

3A First Round | Parma 54, Weiser 38

After defeating fourth seeded Weiser (19-8) at districts last week, fifth seeded Parma (14-10) did it again at state.  Austyn Harris led the way with 19 points, 11 rebounds, 2 blocks, and an 8-of-10 performance from the free throw line.  Harris was named IdahoSports.com Player of the Game.  Parma will face Sugar-Salem in the semifinals.  Weiser will square off with Filer in a loser out game. 

3A First Round | Teton 50, Fruitland 38

The third seeded Timberwolves (18-10) slipped past sixth seeded Fruitland (17-6) with a strong finish.  IdahoSports.com Player of the Game Kinley Brown stuffed the stat sheet for Teton, with 20 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals.  Teton will take on Snake River in the semifinals.  Fruitland will battle Kellogg in a loser out game.

3A First Round | Snake River 59, Kellogg 45

The second seeded Panthers (21-5) moved past seventh seeded Kellogg (13-6) in a first round matchup.  Reagan VanOrden led Snake River with 15 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists and 4 steals, and earned IdahoSports.com Player of the Game honors.  Snake River will face Teton in the semifinals.  Kellogg will get ready for a loser out game with Fruitland.

2A First Round | Grangeville 58, Declo 38

Top seeded Grangeville (20-3) blew past 8th seeded Declo (10-13) and won by twenty points.  Abby Frei was named IdahoSports.com Player of the Game for her efforts in leading the Bulldogs to the win.  Grangeville will take on Aberdeen in the semifinals, while Declo will battle Ririe in a loser out game.

2A First Round | Aberdeen 56, Ririe 45

The 4th seeded Tigers (21-5) moved past the 5th seeded Bulldogs (18-8) in a tight first round battle.  Hope Driscoll knocked down two three-pointers for Aberdeen in the win, and finished with 15 points total on her way to IdahoSports.com Player of the Game honors.  Aberdeen will face Grangeville in the semifinals, while Ririe will battle Declo in a loser out game.

2A First Round | Cole Valley Christian 48, Soda Springs 37

The third seeded Chargers (19-5) punched their ticket to the semis with a steady win over sixth seeded Soda Springs (14-13).  Ellie Fraas and Hadley Fraas were co-IdahoSports.com Players of the Game, as both finished with 14 points in the win.  Cole Valley Christian will prepare for district rival Melba in the semifinals.  Soda Springs will take on North Fremont in a loser out game.

2A First Round | Melba 47, North Fremont 44 (OT)

Second-seeded Melba (20-3) needed an extra period, but eventually the Mustangs dispatched plucky seven seed North Fremont (12-12).  Brooklyn registered 15 points, 5 steals and 2 assists for Melba, and was named IdahoSports.com Player of the Game.  Melba will take on district foe Cole Valley Christian in the semifinals.  North Fremont will try to keep their season alive in a loser out game against Soda Springs.

1AD1 First Round | Lapwai 70, Liberty Charter 19

The top-seeded Wildcats (19-3) scorched the nets in a first round romp over eighth seeded Liberty Charter (11-10).  Grace Sobotta went 6-of-9 from long distance, and finished with 24 points to lead Lapwai to the win.  Sobotta was named IdahoSports.com Player of the Game.  Lapwai will face Raft River in the semifinals.  Liberty Charter will meet up with Oakley in a loser out game.

1AD1 First Round | Raft River 37, Oakley 24

The fourth seeded Trojans (20-4) defeated their district rivals from Oakley (17-7) for the third time in four meetings behind a suffocating defense and a strong day on the boards.  Raft River's Caroline Schumann registered a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds, and was named IdahoSports.com Player of the Game.  The Trojans will take on Lapwai in the semifinals.  Oakley will fight to keep their season alive in a loser out game against Liberty Charter.

1AD1 First Round | Prairie 65, Notus 28

In a battle of the Pirates, it was third seeded Prairie (19-4) zooming past sixth seeded Notus (16-4).  Kristin Wemhoff led the way for Prairie, with 18 points, 6 rebounds, 6 steals and 3 assists.  Wemhoff also picked up IdahoSports.com Player of the Game honors.  Prairie will face Butte County in the semifinals.  Notus will battle Wallace in a loser out game.

1AD1 First Round | Butte County 51, Wallace 32

The second seeded Pirates (22-0) kept their undefeated record intact with a win over seventh seeded Wallace (16-5).  Anna Knight was unstoppable inside for Butte County, as she earned IdahoSports.com Player of the Game after finishing with 16 points, 14 rebounds and 3 blocks.  Butte County will face Prairie in the semifinals, while Wallace will fight to keep their season alive against Notus in a loser out game.

1AD2 First Round | Rockland 38, Carey 25

The top-seeded Bulldogs (22-1) advanced to the semifinals by holding a potent Carey (13-8) offense to just 25 points.  Taylie Boyer of Rockland was named the IdahoSports.com Player of the Game.  Rockland will face Deary in the semifinals, while Carey will take on Kendrick in a loser out game.

1AD2 First Round | Deary 42, Kendrick 39

Fifth seeded Deary (16-5) had fallen to fourth seeded Kendrick (18-6) three times this year, including last week's district championship.  But the fourth try was the charm for the Mustangs, as they toppled their league rival.  Araya Wood was named IdahoSports.com Player of the Game after playing all 32 minutes for Deary and finishing with 26 points and 12 rebounds.  Deary will play Rockland in the semifinals, while Kendrick will face Carey in a loser out game.

1AD2 First Round | Richfield 44, Leadore 32

The third seeded Tigers (21-5) won a low scoring affair with sixth seeded Leadore (19-6).  Sophomore guard Kasey Hendren of Richfield was named IdahoSports.com Player of the Game.  Richfield will take on Council in the semifinals.  Leadore drops into a loser out game with Tri-Valley.

1AD2 First Round | Council 58, Tri-Valley 38

The second seeded Lumberjacks (17-0) had no problems with district rival and sixth seeded Tri-Valley (15-7).  Sydney Nichols tallied 12 points, including 8 in the fourth quarter for Council, as she was named IdahoSports.com Player of the Game.  Council moves into a semifinal showdown with Richfield.  Tri-Valley will meet up with Leadore in a loser out game.
