Highland at Rigby
7:00 PM Friday
Watch Live

Blackfoot challenged Rigby more than anyone else this season in a loss last week, but the top-ranked Trojans ultimately came away with the 24-13 victory.  Rigby now returns to conference play with a Highland team that is coming off of an open date on the docket.  The Rams are ready to prove that they are also in the conversation of top 5A teams in the state and they can do just that by beating Rigby on Friday night.

Madison at Idaho Falls
7:00 PM Friday
Watch Live

The Emotion Bowl provided the thriller that was expected last week as Idaho Falls came out on top against defending 4A state champ Skyline 38-34.  Madison is coming off of a much needed win over Thunder Ridge after dropping two straight.  The Bobcats have momentum and the belief that they can knock off a Tigers team that has had a much better season than anyone could have ever imagined.  Idaho Falls went winless a year ago, but currently sit at 6-1 overall.

South Fremont at Sugar-Salem
7:00 PM Friday
Watch Live

A three-game losing streak is the last thing South Fremont expected to encounter this season.  After a bye week and some much needed time to regroup, the Cougars now face a big challenge as they take on the defending 3A state champions.  While Sugar-Salem started off 0-2, the Diggers have reeled off four straight wins to enter the contest with a 4-2 record.

Buhl at Kimberly
7:00 PM Friday
Watch Live

Kimberly gets one final tune-up before a huge showdown with Gooding to close out the season.  Buhl blanked Wendell last week and has a win over a 4A foe in Wood River as well.  If they can catch Kimberly looking ahead to Gooding next week, Buhl could have a great shot to pull off a stunning upset.

Castleford at Carey
7:00 PM Friday
Watch Live

Carey and Castleford have made it look easy all season, and will give each other their first and likely only real test of the season when they clash on Friday night.  A conference title will be on the line with incredibly high stakes as both teams prepare to leave it all on the field.

Post Falls at Coeur d'Alene
7:00 PM Friday
Listen Live

After starting the season 1-3, Post Falls thought they had found momentum.  They had reeled off two straight wins before dropping a heartbreaker at Lewiston last week.  The Trojans are only two points away from a 5-2 record and could save their season with a massive win over a Coeur d'Alene team that has steamrolled a majority of their competition.  After a blowout loss to Lehi, Utah in their opener at the Rocky Mountain Rumble, and a narrow escape against Sandpoint in Week 2, the Vikings have made it look easy.  They will try to continue that streak against a Post Falls team that has had a down year by their standards.

Borah at Capital
7:00 PM Friday
Listen Live

After losing three straight to open the season, Borah has rebounded with four straight wins and can make it five straight against crosstown rival Capital on Friday night.  Capital wasn't able to do much of anything in a 24-6 defeat at Mountain View last week and will look to rebound against the Lions and head into the playoffs with confidence.

Mountain View at Kuna
7:00 PM Friday
Listen Live

Not much has gone right for Kuna this season, with their lone win coming against a first-year Owyhee team in a narrow 35-31 decision.  Mountain View has done what they needed to do to come out on top in games against top competition, while also remaining dominant against lesser teams.  The Kavemen should offer the Mavericks one last tune-up before the SIC Championship Game next week.

Prairie at Genesee
7:00 PM Friday
Listen Live

Prairie will put their undefeated season on the line when they travel to Genesee on Friday night.  The Bulldogs have only dropped one game this season against Lapwai, a team that the Pirates crushed last week 58-26.  For comparison, the Bulldogs lost to Genesee 70-36 back in September.  This will likely be the most challenging opponent the Pirates have faced all season and they will need to be on their 'A' game if they are to come away with a win.

Weiser at Homedale
7:00 PM Friday

Homedale and Weiser will square off on Friday night with incredibly high stakes all the way around.  Both schools have shut out two straight conference opponents to tune up for this huge showdown.  The Wolverines are seeking a program-changing victory in a hostile road environment.  On the other hand, the Trojans are ready to prove that they are deserving of the unanimous No. 1 ranking in the polls against a Weiser team that has exceeded expectations in all areas.

Lapwai at Logos
6:00 PM Saturday
Watch Live

Logos earned its second win in school history last week as they routed Troy.  They will now entertain a Lapwai team that is coming off of a loss to Prairie.  That loss was Lapwai's first since the season opener against defending 1A Division I champion Oakley.  A win for the Knights would go a long way toward showing how far a young Logos program has come.  A Lapwai victory would solidify a top three finish in the White Pine League.

The Inland Empire League district tournament concluded Wednesday as Lake City punched its ticket to state by beating Lewiston 3-0.  The Bengals will now have to get past Eagle in the state play-in game if they hope to be playing in the Treasure Valley next weekend.  TimberlineBorahBoise and Rocky Mountain, the top four seeds in the SIC, all punched tickets to state as well.  In eastern Idaho, the High County Conference tournament went to Thunder Ridge, as they defeated Madison 2-1 in double overtime.  Madison will now play Idaho Falls on Saturday.  The winner advances to state.

4A District Tournaments

Caldwell defeated  Bishop Kelly on penalty kicks in the SIC championship game Thursday night.  Both teams will move on to state, while Vallivue could possibly join them.  The Falcons will have to play Hillcrest in a state play-in game Saturday.  Hillcrest, the top-seeded team in District 6, defeated Skyline in the district consolation match Thursday.  Jerome is headed to state after a 1-0 victory over Canyon Ridge in the Great Basin Conference championship.  A semifinal rematch between Canyon Ridge and Twin Falls will take place Friday night to determine the other representative from the Magic Valley.  Preston beat Pocatello Wednesday night to earn their trip to state, while Blackfoot shocked Hillcrest in the District 6 championship to secure their trip.

3A District Tournaments

The Intermountain League has moved slower than others when it comes to district tournament play.  Friday night action includes Coeur d'Alene Charter vs. St. Maries in one semifinal and Bonners Ferry vs. Timberlake, in the other.  The winners of those semifinals will advance to state.  McCall-Donnelly shocked Weiser on penalty kicks in Thursday's Snake River Valley Conference championship.  The High Desert Conference has seen a Cinderella story of sorts with sixth-seeded Kimberly.  The Bulldogs fell to top-seeded Sun Valley Community School in Thursday's district championship.  Kimberly now must defeat fifth-seeded Filer on Saturday to earn a spot at state.  American Falls beat Marsh Valley Tuesday night to win District 5, while Sugar-Salem defeated Teton in District 6.  The Timberwolves and Eagles now meet on Saturday in the state play-in match.

Girls Soccer

5A District Tournaments

Lake City beat Coeur d'Alene Tuesday night to punch their ticket to state.  Coeur d'Alene now heads to the state play-in game against Eagle on Saturday in Lewiston.  While Rocky Mountain, Boise, and Timberline punched state tickets with ease, Centennial was the big surprise out of the SIC with a Cinderella run highlighted by a 2-1 victory over Eagle.
Highland kept their undefeated season intact with a win over Thunder Ridge in the High County Conference championship Thursday.  The Titans will now play Madison on Saturday.  The winner advances to state.

4A District Tournaments

In the most surprising result in the entire state, undefeated Sandpoint was upset by Moscow 1-0 in the Inland Empire League title match.  The Bulldogs, 12-1 overall, will not be competing at state.  In the SIC, Bishop Kelly and Vallivue have advanced to state, while Caldwell heads to the state play-in game on Saturday against BonnevilleSkyline defeated the Bees in overtime to win the District 6 championship.  In the Great Basin Conference, Twin Falls punched their state ticket by beating crosstown rival Canyon Ridge.  The Riverhawks will now have to defeat fifth-seeded Mountain Home on Friday afternoon to advance to state.  In the Southeastern Idaho Conference, Pocatello and Preston meet Friday with the District 5 championship and a single spot to state on the line.

3A District Tournaments

The Intermountain League District Tournament approaches full swing Saturday with semifinal matches between Coeur d'Alene Charter and Priest River, as well as Bonners Ferry and Timberlake.  The semifinal winners will clinch spots at state.  Fruitland defeated McCall-Donnelly 6-2 to advance to state from District 3.  The High Desert Conference title went to  Sun Valley Community School.  Top-seeded Kimberly fell to the Cutthroats in the district title, and will now have to defeat Wendell on Saturday to earn a spot at state.  Marsh Valley beat American Falls in District 5, while Sugar-Salem defeated Teton in District 6.  American Falls and Teton will now meet in a state play-in match on Saturday.

5A District Tournaments

Post Falls seems to be the favorite in the Inland Empire League after cruising to a perfect record in league play, while Skyview should be a heavy favorite in the SIC.  The High Country Conference looks to be a two team race between Madison and Highland.

4A District Tournaments

The defending 4A state champions had a rough ride in 2021, but Lakeland can still threaten Moscow for the district championship in northern Idaho.  In the SIC, Columbia and Middleton should be among the favorites, but as many teams have learned this season, don't sleep on Emmett or NampaWood River has looked like the best 4A team in the state and that should show in the District 4 tournament.  In District 5, Century looks like the favorite, but a three-team league never allows for much separation.  Bonneville has looked like 4A's second-best team this year, and should be a clear runaway favorite in the High Country Conference.

3A District Tournaments

Kellogg and Timberlake should be neck and neck in the Intermountain League, while Fruitland (voted No. 1 two weeks ago in the Coaches Poll) could face a challenge from Parma in their quest for a district title.  Kimberly, Filer and Gooding will all have a great shot in District 4.  In eastern Idaho, look for American Falls or Snake River to emerge from District 5.  Sugar-Salem should run away with the District 6 title after an undefeated regular season.

2A District Tournaments

Orofino looks to be the favorite in northern Idaho.  The Western Idaho Conference, meanwhile, has a few teams in the running.  Cole Valley Christian should be the favorite, but Melba and Nampa Christian are also firmly in the discussion.  Declo looks to be the likely team to come out of the Canyon Conference, while West Side, Malad and Bear Lake all have a great shot in southeastern Idaho.  The Nuclear Conference won't be as wide open with Ririe the clear favorite there.

1A D1 District Tournaments

Northern Idaho's White Pine League should be a two team race between Troy and Potlatch.  The Western Idaho Conference, however, is a different story, as multiple teams are in the mix.  The favorites should be Liberty Charter, Greenleaf Friends and Idaho City, but don't be surprised if the district champion isn't one of those three.  Murtaugh and Lighthouse Christian round out what should be a two-team race in the Snake River Conference, but surprises can happen and Oakley would likely be the surprise team.

1A D2 District Tournaments

Clark Fork should be the clear favorite in the North Star League, and they'll play their regular season finale against Kootenai on Friday.  Just a little further south in the White Pine League, Kendrick should be the clear favorite.  Horseshoe Bend should run away with the Long Pin Conference, while the Sawtooth Conference should be a two team race between Sun Valley Community School and Richfield.  A team team race should also be expected in the Rocky Mountain Conference, with Mackay and Rockland the frontrunners.
