Jack Kennedy
Baseball
Grangeville High School
Class of 2020
Jack Kennedy has played baseball since he was three years old, around the country as a military child. He was a “swing player” for Grangeville varsity baseball as a freshman and lettered as a sophomore and junior. With his team, Jack has enjoyed a three-peat as district champion, and three trips to the state tournament. The team's goal is to make it four in a row this season.
He’s a pitcher and an outfielder who is known for throwing runners out. His trademarks are a good attitude and his smile. Watching him work hard and succeed in Legion baseball was very rewarding.
We are very pleased with Jack - not only for his work on the baseball field, but as a scholar and Captain of his Knowledge Bowl team; his recent “Superior” rating as a solo pianist and his steadfast faith and trust in God.
Whether or not he returns to the baseball diamond this year, we are proud of Jack for his resilience and for being the kind of teammate who celebrates others’ success. We know he will succeed as he pursues a meteorology degree.
Thank you, son, for giving us years of enjoyment as we’ve traveled to hundreds of games and cherished every moment of your time playing this wonderful game. We are delighted to be your parents.
