The Albertsons Big Deal of the Week is a new addition to IdahoSports.com in which student-athletes who excel in the classroom and competitively are selected on a weekly basis to be featured on the site. Each recipient of this weekly honor receives a $100 Albertsons gift card and is featured as a top story on IdahoSports.com.

With state baseball coming up this week, multi-sport standout Easton Durham of Highland helps lead the Rams into the 5A tournament as a dangerous group. Easton also plays quarterback on the football team and was a member of the varsity basketball program this year. He maintains a 3.96 GPA in the classroom.

Tell us a little bit about yourself:
I go to Highland High School and am a student-athlete who plays football, baseball and basketball. I graduate in 2021 and love hanging out with friends and living life to the fullest.

Do you have a nickname? If so, how did you get it?
Most people just call me Durham or East, short for Easton.

My favorite sport to watch would have to be college football. I love to play football, baseball and basketball.

As a student-athlete, which is harder - being a student, or being an athlete? Why?

What kind of car gets you around town?
A Toyota 4-Runner.

Dogs all the way.

Favorite food?
A good burger.

Most people don’t know that I play the guitar.

Women by Florida Georgia Line, featuring Jason Derulo.

What are your plans after high school (college, work, etc.)?
My goal is to go to college on some sort of athletic scholarship. When in college I would like to get a degree in business.

When you "grow up" what is your idea of the perfect job?
Managing professional athletes.

What is the best advice you have ever received and from who?
“Humble yourself and glorify God,” my dad Jason Durham.

Any shoutouts:
First off, my savior Jesus Christ for giving me the ability to play and do the things I do. Secondly, my family for pushing me above and beyond and never leaving my side. Lastly, my friends, coaches and teammates for always having my back and driving me to succeed.
