ORDER GAME PHOTOS

Each week there are countless quality efforts put up by teams and individuals throughout the state of Idaho. Below are some of the top performances from the state during the week of January 21-26.

We try our best to include as many different parts of the state as possible in this list of ten. If you don't see your player listed below, don't worry, we will keep combing through the stats each week to add new faces to the list!

So without further ado, and in no particular order, here is the second version of the "Sven's Ten" list, featuring top efforts from across the Gem State last week.

-Highland star Makenna Baker finished with 30 points in a 64-47 Highland win over the Thunder Ridge Titans. Perhaps most impressively, she did all of that work in just three quarters of action. Baker then put up 34 points in a 64-58 loss at Century, where Diamondbacks senior post Chinma Njoku contributed 29 of her own to lead her team to victory on senior night.

-Sadie Gronning lit up the nets to the tune of 41 points on Wednesday in a 69-46 win over Bear Lake. Gronning hit seven triples on the night.

-In a 58-44 win over Hagerman on Monday, Hansen sophomore Jonathan Camarillo scored half of the Huskies points, contributing 29 on the night.

-After teammate Ethan Chacon made our list last week, Sho-Ban’s Jayvis Friday got involved himself with a 36-point outburst for the Chiefs, who beat Clark County 77-67.

-In order to hold off an impressive effort from Teton, Sugar-Salem needed a big game from Macie Knapp, who delivered by dropping 27 on the Redskins. The Diggers relied on Knapp in a big way late, as she scored 11 points in the last three minutes of game action.

-Jazzy Jenkins scored 30 of the 38 total team points for the Emmett Huskies in a loss to Kuna on Tuesday.

-Lakeland sophomore post Katy Ryan put up the unconventional triple double of 11 points, 16 rebounds and 11 blocked shots as the Hawks defeated the Moscow Bears on the road for the first time since the 2011 season.

-Lewiston’s Donaven Santana caught fire to the tune of 31 points, including five 3-pointers, in a 78-54 blowout of the Sandpoint Bulldogs. Santana also added six steals and five rebounds.

-Brayden Stapleton of Deary (29 points) and Evan Jackson of Clearwater Valley (28 points) both put up big totals in wins over Kendrick and Kamiah respectively on Tuesday in district two hoops action.

-Of course, this list would not be complete without a Ririe basketball star on it to represent the Bulldogs. This week it is Michael Ure for the second week in a row after he lit up West Jefferson with 37 points in a 64-35 victory. Ure hit five 3-pointers on the night.

HONORABLE MENTIONS
-Genesee guard Emerson Parkins did not miss a shot from inside the 3-point line in a 64-26 blowout win for the Bulldogs over Asotin (WA). Parkins finished with 22 points and eight steals.

-On a team performance note, Dietrich dominated Carey on the boards, hauling in 57 rebounds compared to 29 for Carey. Brady Power was the individual star with 27 points for the Blue Devils. Dietrich won 74-52.

-In Salmon River’s upset win over top ranked 1AD1 team Prairie, Chevelle Shepherd poured in 28 points on her senior night, leading the Savages to victory over the Pirates by a final score of 59-52.

-Led by Colby Kennedy’s huge game, Grangeville was able to fend off a tough St. Maries team 56-42 in CIL play. Kennedy finished the night with 17 rebounds and 13 points.
