Idaho girls basketball stars Allie Cannon (Blackfoot) and Kendyll Kinzer (Lewiston) have been nominated for the McDonald's All American Game.

Over 800 top male and female athletes from around the country are on the nomination list for the 42nd annual games, which are scheduled to take place on March 27 at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.

Cannon is a senior at Blackfoot High School. Her Broncos are in the midst of their winningest season in over a decade at 15-2 overall and 7-2 in the 4A High Country Conference. As a result of the strong season, Blackfoot sits at the number five spot in the most recent state media poll. Cannon, a four-year starter, also participates as a member of the Salt Lake Metro club basketball program, which had eight players in total nominated.

Kinzer, a Fresno State commit, has dominated the 5A Inland Empire League for the Lewiston Bengals from the forward position. She plans to study kinesiology in college and is expected to make an immediate impact for the Bulldogs. For her efforts during the 2016/2017 season, Kinzer was selected as a First Team All-IEL  performer for basketball and has also been selected multiple times for volleyball. She participates as a member of Northwest Blazers club team.

“We are excited to recognize these McDonald’s American Games nominees and give fans a first look at some of the nation’s biggest rising basketball stars,” said Morgan Wootten, McDonald’s All American Games Selection Committee Co-Chairman.

“As we head into final roster selection, we applaud these athletes for their accomplishments both on and off the court,” said Joe Wootten, McDonald’s All American Games Selection Committee Co-Chairman.

The final rosters for the 2019 McDonald’s All American Games will be revealed on Thursday, Jan. 24 at 1 p.m. MT on ESPN’s The Jump and at 4 p.m. MT on SportsCenter.

Fans can watch the 18th annual McDonald’s All American Girls Game on ESPN2 at 3 p.m. MT Wednesday, March 27. The 42nd annual Boys Game immediately follows at 5 p.m. MT and will also air live on ESPN2.
