Weather has caused some delays in state tournament events throughout Idaho. Check back here over the course of the weekend for updates on weather delays throughout the state.
Baseball (starts Thursday)
The 1A State Baseball Tournament has been delayed due to weather conditions in Orofino. The originally scheduled morning games between Horsebend Bend/Prairie and Potlatch/Lapwai have been move to 5:00 pm PT and 7:30 pm PT, respectively. These games will now be single elimination. The earliest that Genesee and Glenns Ferry will play is now Saturday morning. Genesee will play the winner of Horseshoe Bend/Prairie at 9:00 am PT and Glenns Ferry will play the winner of Potlatch/Lapwai at 11:30 am PT.
Softball (starts Friday)
The 5A State Softball Tournament will resume Saturday morning at 9:30 am with the resumption of a suspended game between Rocky Mountain and Lake City. Rocky Mountain leads 5-1 in the 6th inning and Lake City will be up to bat. Location is TBD as the field at Capell Park in Chubbuck might not be playable (that determination will be made Saturday morning).
The 3A State Softball Tournament has been MOVED to Rigby High School as the fields at Bonneville High School are unplayable. Action begins at 8:00 a.m. MT.
The 2A State Softball Tournament has been MOVED to Minico High School as the fields at OK Ward Park are unplayable.
