Team Preview:

Written by: Brandon McIntosh

For 16 years now, Guy Wells has found a way to make the Troy Trojans competitive. He is very disciplined in his approach and his system. The details are what counts.

Similar to every other year, Wells will continue to have the same approach. With only three returners-Isaac Stoner (junior), Chase Blazzard (senior), and Mitchell Sandquist (junior)-the veteran coach will be busy teaching away a system and style to his players that seems simple, but is very intricate.

The returners understand the offense and should be extremely tough on defense. Struggles for most teams, the Trojans mesh well with solid communication. Throw in the work ethic and quickness and the Trojans look tough in the Whitepine.

Wells will be calling upon his team to maintain the defensive intensity and togetherness, as well as finding a way to rebound more consistently and finding proper depth in his bench.

Troy will be in a season long battle with the Prairie Pirates and Genesee Bulldogs. Watch out if Coach Wells puts all the pieces together Whitepine League.
