Welcome to "Heavy Hitters", where each week, we'll highlight the top hitting performances across baseball and softball diamonds around the state of Idaho.
We will select one single-game hitting performance for each day of the week. Think of it as the best hitting line for that particular day.

BASEBALL
Marshall Glenn, 12, Highland (Friday, May 8)
Glenn went 2-for-3 with a home run, five RBIs and four runs scored as Highland defeated Centennial at the 6A East Regional, 20-5. Glenn added two walks and two stolen bases to his totals.
Maddox Stadelmeir, 12, Twin Falls (Saturday, May 9)
Stadelmeir slammed two home runs as part of a 4-for-4 day overall as Twin Falls defeated Bishop Kelly 17-14 at the 5A South Regional. In addition to the two home runs, Stadelmeir rapped a single and a double, and finished with six RBIs and two runs scored.
SOFTBALL
Libby Torgrimson, 12, Twin Falls (Monday, May 4)
Torgrimson knocked two home runs and a double as part of a 3-for-4 showing overall in Twin Falls' 15-4 win over Jerome in the semifinal round of the 5A District 4 tournament. The senior finished with six RBIs and three runs scored.
McKenna Chavez, 12, Capital (Tuesday, May 5)
Chavez went 3-for-3 with three home runs, two walks, five RBIs and five runs scored as Capital defeated Centennial 14-11 in a loser out game at the 6A District 3 tournament.
Darlene Espinoza, 12, Capital (Wednesday, May 6)
Capital broke out the bats in their 9-6 win over Mountain View at the 6A District 3 tournament, clinching a spot at state in the process. The Eagles crushed four home runs as a team, and two belonged to Espinoza. The sophomore was 2-for-3 with five RBIs, two runs and a walk.
Ember Maroney, 10, Horseshoe Bend (Thursday, May 7)
Moroney was busy on the basepaths in Horseshoe Bend's 16-8 win over Notus in the opening round of the 2A District 3-4 tournament. Moroney went 2-for-3 with a pair of singles, two RBIs, two runs scored, one walk, and one hit-by-pitch. She also swiped six bags in the win.
Marlee Stevens, 10, Sandpoint (Friday, May 1)
Stevens smacked two home runs, including a grand slam, as Sandpoint defeated Lewiston 19-8 in a loser out game at the 5A District 1-2 tournament. The sophomore went 4-for-5 overall, with two singles and a double mixed in with the two homers. Stevens finished with seven RBIs, four runs scored, one walk and one stolen base.
Kinlea Cole, 10, Parma (Saturday, May 2)
Cole helped Parma clinch a spot at state with an 18-8 win over Melba in the third place game at the 3A District 3 tournament. Cole went 4-for-5 with two singles, a double and a triple, to go along with four RBIs. Among those four hits was a major milestone: Cole has now accumulated 100 base hits in her career, and she's only a sophomore!
