We will select one single-game hitting performance for each day of the week.  Think of it as the best hitting line for that particular day.

Without further ado, let's get to it!

BASEBALL

Broc Caldwell, 12, Buhl (Monday, April 13)

During Buhl's 23-2 win over Gooding, Caldwell finished 4-for-5 with six RBIs and two runs scored.

Isaac Andersen, 12, Challis-Mackay (Tuesday, April 14)

Andersen went 3-for-4 with a home run, four RBIs and two runs scored as the Rivercats moved past West Jefferson 17-6.

Brooks Hyink, 8, Lighthouse Christian (Wednesday, April 15)

That's right, that's the number eight next to Hyink's name.  Hyink is one of three eighth-graders on this year's varsity team at Lighthouse Christian, and these young bucks aren't just fodder for the bottom of the roster; they're regular contributors.  Take Hyink's line in the Lions' 15-5 win over Idaho City: 3-for-3 with a single, a double, a triple, five RBIs, four stolen bases, and three runs scored.

Luke Nelson, 12, Teton (Thursday, April 16)

Nelson was 3-for-3 with a home run, a double, and a single, and finished with four RBIs, three runs scored, and a stolen base in Teton's 10-7 win over Salmon.  He did all of this while also pitching, allowing two runs in five innings of work with nine strikeouts.

Ralli Roetcisoender, 12, Kendrick (Friday, April 17)

Roetcisoender made the most of his three plate appearances in Kendrick's 18-0 win over Lapwai, shortened to just three innings due to the run rule.  The senior went 2-for-2 with a walk, four RBIs, three runs scored, and two stolen bases.

Jahzyon Sylva, 12, Payette (Saturday, April 18)

Sylva went 2-for-2 with a pair of singles in Payette's 12-2 triumph over New Plymouth.  That may seem fairly modest, but also consider that the senior walked twice, and all four times he reached base, he came around to score.  His run-scoring efforts were aided by five stolen bases.

SOFTBALL

Ava Smith, 12, Filer (Monday, April 13)

Smith homered twice as part of a 5-for-5 showing for Filer in their 26-18 victory over Buhl.  In addition to the two home runs, Smith also singled twice and doubled, and finished with eight RBIs and two runs scored.

Audrey Wood, 12, Canyon Ridge (Tuesday, April 14)

Wood was a perfect 6-for-6 at the dish in the Riverhawks' 23-21 slugfest win over Minico.  Wood slapped five singles and a double, and drove in wo runs along the way.  She also stole eight bases and came around to score five times.

Kaylin Wilks, 10, Greenleaf Friends (Wednesday, April 15)

Wilks was 3-for-3 as Greenleaf Friends downed Wilder 19-4.  Wilks scored three runs, walked once, and drove in a run, but her real value came with eight stolen bases.

Avery Reynolds, 11, Emmett (Thursday, April 16)

Reynolds homered twice as part of a 4-for-5 day overall as Emmett defeated Columbia 26-6.  Reynolds added nine RBIs, four runs scored, two walks, a hit-by-pitch, and a stolen base to her totals.

Abby Jackson, 12, Salmon (Friday, April 17)

Jackson was a perfect 5-for-5 with a home run, a triple, and three singles as Salmon moved past Firth 14-4.  The senior finished with six RBIs, three runs, and two stolen bases.

Halle Taylor, 12, West Side (Saturday, April 18)

Taylor finished a single shy of the cycle in West Side's 9-8 win over American Falls.  The senior went 3-for-3 with a double, a triple, and a home run, and added six RBIs and three runs scored.
