Winters in Idaho can last a long time. Especially when the temperature dips below zero each night and you pack some snow on top of that, it can last even longer.

Fortunately, for basketball fans everywhere, we are making it easier for you to enjoy high school hoops from the comfort of your own home (unless, of course, you like braving the cold to get to your local gym).

IdahoSports.com has teamed up with KPVI News 6 and Z103, Idaho's #1 Hit Music Channel, to bring you "East Idaho Game Night". Myself along with other IdahoSports.com broadcasters will be broadcasting both boys and girls games live from different locations in East Idaho. Matt Gittins of KPVI News 6 will get the highlights, and Matty Merrill of Z103 will pump up the crowd through the introduction of the starting lineups. 

"I can't tell you how stoked we are to be partnering up with two of the biggest media outlets in Eastern Idaho to bring these games to fans who can't be there in person," said Paul Kingsbury, owner of IdahoSports.com. "We're also very excited to be doing more basketball in the part of the state that gives us the most traffic to our website over all - Eastern Idaho!"

In the end, this all comes back to the kids. We want to make it a fun event for everyone in attendance and hopefully a memorable event for those players involved. By promoting these games as we do on our website and through the mediums of television and radio, we can bring more fans to the stands at each game.

Of course, always attend a game if you can. But if you can't, that's where IdahoSports.com and East Idaho Game Night comes into play.

Here is the schedule for East Idaho Game Night through Dec. 20 (all game times start at 7:30 pm MST unless otherwise posted):

Dec. 10: Boys Basketball - Madison @ Blackfoot
Dec. 13: Girls Basketball - Hillcrest @ Skyline
Dec. 14: Boys Basketball - Soda Springs @ Sugar-Salem (4:00 pm MST)
Dec. 18: Boys Basketball - Idaho Falls @ Skyline
