The 57th Annual Emotion Bowl will kick off Friday night at 7:00 p.m. from Ravsten Stadium between the Skyline Grizzlies and Idaho Falls Tigers.

The origins of the Emotion Bowl date back to 1966, when Skyline High School split off from Idaho Falls High School. But just one football field remained between the two programs, and one of the most bitter rivalries in the Gem State was born.

If there is one football game every year that both Skyline and Idaho Falls would say they wanted to win it would be The Emotion Bowl. Who can blame them? Win the Emotion Bowl and you get a full year of bragging rights and you are a part of history.

Skyline leads the all-time series 34-22. That includes the last seven in row, won by an average of almost 30 points per game. 

It's been a long time since the Tigers had an Emotion Bowl victory. The last time Idaho Falls won, this year's seniors were in the middle of their 5th grade Grid Kid season.  Idaho Falls comes in to the game 5-1 and Skyline is 3-3. Could this finally be the year the boys in Black and Orange end the Blue Streak or will the Grizzlies make it eight in a row?

It doesn't matter what you think you know about both teams. It doesn't matter what you think will happen Friday night. When it comes to the Emotion Bowl, the only sure thing is the unexpected will happen.

Tickets are on sale at both high schools Monday, Oct. 4, through noon Friday, Oct. 8. Ticket sales will resume at 5:15 p.m. at Ravsten Stadium when the gates open for the game. This year, all D91 high school students get into the game FREE with this years activity card. Other tickets are $6 for adults, $5 for middle school students and high school students without an activity card, $4 for elementary school students and seniors.
