Welcome to "Primetime Pitchers", where each week, we'll highlight the top pitching performances across baseball and softball diamonds around the state of Idaho.

We will select one pitching performance for each day of the week.  Think of it as the best pitching line for that particular day.

If you'd like to nominate a Primetime Pitcher, send an email to brandon@idahosports.com.

Without further ado, let's get to it!

BASEBALL

Grant Hales, 11, Canyon Ridge (Monday, March 23)

In the Riverhawks' 10-0 victory against Boise, Hales pitched a five-inning one-hitter with three strikeouts and one walk allowed.

Bam Fenter, 12, Coeur d'Alene and Trevor Booze, 12, Coeur d'Alene (Tuesday, March 24)

This senior duo combined for a no-hitter in a 17-0 win over Moscow.  Fenter went four innings, recording nine of his 12 outs via strikeout.  Three walks were the only blemish on Fenter's line.  Booze came in for the final inning of work, and kept the no-hitter intact with just one walk in his inning of work.

Cody Cox, 12, Salmon (Wednesday, March 25)

Cox was at his best against conference foe North Fremont, pitching a complete game shutout in a 9-0 win.  Cox struck out 12 batters and only walked one, while scattering three hits in the loss.

Devon Poxleitner, 11, Prairie, Austin Labrum, 9, Prairie and Cooper Riener, 9, Prairie (Thursday, March 26)

Three Pirates combined for a perfect game in Prairie's 11-0 win against Lapwai.  Poxleitner tossed five innings, giving up two talks while striking out nine.  Labrum then entered the contest and struck out the side in his lone inning of work.  Then, Riener came on and nailed down the perfecto, also striking out the side.  In fact, because of a dropped third strike, Riener actually struck out four batters in the final inning.

Jake Redder, 12, Burley (Friday, March 27)

The Bobcats turned back conference rival Mountain Home 12-1, and Redder did his part with a no-hitter.  In five innings of work, Redder allowed one unearned run with four strikeouts and and four walks.

Jack Emery, 11, Melba (Saturday, March 28)

Emery no-hit Ontario (Oregon) in a six inning, 12-0 win.  Emery struck out 11 Ontario batters while walking three.

SOFTBALL

Keelyn Mardis, 12, Centennial (Monday, March 23)

Mardis tossed a no-hitter in an 11-0 win over Ridgevue.  Across six innings of work, the senior allowed no hits with a strikeout and a walk.

Libby Garcia, 10, Middleton (Tuesday, March 24)

In a narrow 2-0 win over Emmett, Garcia went the distance, pitching seven innings of one-hit ball with 17 strikeouts and two walks.

Peyton Lenz, 12, North Fremont (Wednesday, March 25)

Lenz yielded a lone hit over six innings of shutout softball, finishing with 15 strikeouts and no walks in an 11-0 win over Salmon.

Savannah Stevens, 9, Coeur d'Alene (Thursday, March 26)

With Coeur d'Alene's top pitcher, junior Jenna Davenport, gone to Europe on a choir trip, Stevens stepped into the circle and delivered a five-inning no-hitter against Sandpoint.  Stevens struck out 13 and walked only two in the 10-0 victory.

Samantha Miller, 11, Middleton (Friday, March 27)

The second one-hitter for Middleton in the week, this gem came from junior Samantha Miller, who struck out 11 and walked three in a five-inning, 12-0 win over Caldwell.

Abby Jackson, 12, Salmon (Saturday, March 28)

Jackson pitched a five-inning shutout in a 10-0 win over West Jefferson.  Jackson scattered three hits while striking out nine and walking none.
