The 2013 Girls Real Dairy Shootout
It's time for the Girls Real Dairy Shootout and we couldn't be more excited to be a part of it once again.

Six classifications. Six districts. 48 teams. One goal.

It's time once again for the Girls Real Dairy Shootout presented by the Idaho High School Activities Association and the United Dairymen of Idaho. And boy let me tell you, we couldn't be more excited to be a part of it once again.

The mid-February to early-March stretch of State Tournament basketball is arguably one of my favorite times of the year. It just doesn't get much better than this! 48 teams descending on one area to battle it out for the six state championships. Nampa, Columbia, Bishop Kelly, Skyview, and Mountain View high schools along with the Idaho Center will be rocking this weekend. If you can, please attend these games in person and support your local high school athletes in the pursuit of their dreams. But if you can't make it in person, IdahoSports.com has got you covered.

Once again this year, all 66 games will be broadcast live to the world so that you can have the Real Dairy Shootout experience at home, at work, or even on the go with your iPhone or Android. So if you can't make it to any of the games, join us online here on IdahoSports.com, kick back and enjoy the action!

We would also like to thank those businesses who advertise with IdahoSports.com. Without them, there would be no way in which we could bring you these games free of charge! The next time you visit their business, please say thank you for being a sponsor of high school athletics.

In advance of the tournament, I'm going to thank the United Dairymen of Idaho for all that they do for high school athletes. What an awesome opportunity it is for these kids to be able to compete on a stage like this. Not only that, but also for all of the free delicious chocolate milk that they hand out at all six tournament venues. Last year, the United Dairymen of Idaho handed out 31,575 bottles of chocolate milk just at the Girls Real Dairy Shootout alone. I probably drank about a quarter of all that milk, so needless to say I am grateful indeed.

We will also have our action photographers taking THOUSANDS of action photos and uploading them onto the website every day from all six tournament venues. If you haven't seen some of their action shots, click on the "Galleries" box above and see what great work they do.

Don't forget to follow us on Facebook or Twitter either. We will post updates and more through those social media platforms. Just search "idahosports" in the search bar and like/follow us today!

Lots of great high school basketball awaits us come Thursday afternoon. Good luck to all of the teams at the State Tournament.
