Welcome to "Heavy Hitters", where each week, we'll highlight the top hitting performances across baseball and softball diamonds around the state of Idaho.

We will select one hitting performance for each day of the week.  Think of it as the best hitting line for that particular day.

Because the season began on a Wednesday, this weekly rundown will cover the previous week's Wednesday through Tuesday action.

Without further ado, let's get to it!

Hudson Kirkland, Kendrick (Thursday, April 10)

Kirkland went 3-for-4 with two doubles, four RBIs, three runs scored and a stolen bag as Kendrick defeated Whitepine League rival Prairie, 17-3.

Jake Vance, Blackfoot (Friday, April 11)

Vance went a perfect 3-for-3 at the dish in the Broncos' 23-2 win over Hillcrest in High Country Conference play.  Vance also drew a walk, and finished with a home run, three RBIs and a run scored.

Chappell crushed two home runs as part of a 3-for-4 performance in the Diggers' 23-0 win over Preston.  Chappell also reached base on a hit-by-pitch, and finished with six RBIs, three runs scored and a stolen base.  Special mention goes to Chappell's teammate Dawson McInelly, who also hit two home runs.

Kinney strode to the plate four times in Marsing's 14-2 win over Western Idaho Conference foe Parma.  Kinney reached base all four times, finishing 4-for-4 with three doubles, a single, four RBIs and four runs scored.
