6A TOURNAMENT AT CENTENNIAL HIGH SCHOOL
Consolation Final
Madison 40, Borah 38
The second-seeded Bobcats bounced back from a shocking first round loss by capturing the consolation trophy in a tight battle over No. 8 Borah, 40-38.
Madison (23-3) outscored Borah (12-15) 13 to 5 in the pivotal fourth quarter of play.
IdahoSports.com Player of the Game Nash Humpherys sank two free throws with two seconds remaining to give Madison the two-point win. Humpherys finished with 20 points total, while Carter Lerwill added eight.
Borah was led by Ramos Tshishiku's eight points off the bench.
Third Place Game
Timberline 52, Boise 42
No. 4 Timberline (18-11) sprinted past No. 6 Boise (12-16) by outscoring the Brave 19-6 in the fourth quarter on their way to the third place finish.
Alex Ko poured in 20 points for the Wolves on 6-of-10 shooting from the floor on his way to IdahoSports.com Player of the Game honors. Jacob Heyne added 15 points for Timberline.
Boise's Will Gebert finished with 12 points and five rebounds.
5A TOURNAMENT AT ROCKY MOUNTAIN HIGH SCHOOL
Consolation Final
Columbia 67, Middleton 55
No. 6 Columbia (16-13) capped off an incredible postseason by exacting revenge on District 3 rival, and No. 4 seed Middleton, 67-55.
Blake Hansen and Max Keller shared IdahoSports.com Player of the Game honors. Each hit four three-pointers in the win, while Hansen (19 points) narrowly edged out Keller (18 points) for the scoring lead.
Middleton's Blake Bishop led all scorers with 21 points, while Tye Cornwall added 19.
Third Place Game
Twin Falls 65, Bonneville 58
No. 7 Twin Falls (16-10) shot 40% from deep in a 65-58 win over No. 5 Bonneville (16-12) for the third place trophy.
IdahoSports.com Player of the Game Ty Hess tallied 28 points, six assists and three steals. Trey Billings added 20 points.
Bonneville was paced by Tyler Jordan's 22 points.
4A TOURNAMENT AT EAGLE HIGH SCHOOL
Consolation Final
Kimberly 55, Sugar-Salem 45
No. 8 Kimberly (14-15) brought home the consolation trophy with a ten-point win over No. 3 Sugar-Salem (19-7).
The Bulldogs won the rebounding battle, 33-23, and made 6-of-14 three-point shots (42.9%).
IdahoSports.com Player of the Game Broden Anthony scored 20 points for Kimberly, while German foreign exchange student Gerwin Jeschke registered a double-double of 15 points and ten rebounds.
Sugar-Salem was led by Riley Williams' 18 points.
Third Place Game
McCall-Donnelly 60, Marsh Valley 49
No. 6 McCall-Donnelly (16-10) shot 55% from the floor to pull away from No. 5 Marsh Valley (14-13) in the third place game.
IahoSports.com Player of the Game Sam Penny finished with 20 points and seven rebounds for the Vandals, and was joined in double figures by Sam Scott (16 points) and Michael Foster (13 points).
Kaden Hansen scored 12 points for Marsh Valley.
3A TOURNAMENT AT CAPITAL HIGH SCHOOL
Consolation Final
Soda Springs 56, New Plymouth 49
No. 5 Soda Springs (16-11) trailed No. 6 New Plymouth (18-9) at halftime, 27-23. But the Cardinals secured the consolation trophy by outscoring the Pilgrims 16-7 in the third quarter.
IdahoSports.com Player of the Game Cooper Thompson finished with 26 points, six rebounds and three steals. He also sank 12-of-15 free throws.
New Plymouth was paced by Josiah Gustin's 18 points.
Third Place Game
Firth 61, Ambrose 58
No. 4 Ambrose (16-10) raced out to a 22-9 lead, but No. 2 Firth (20-6) slowly chipped away at the deficit, outscoring the Archers in the second, third and fourth quarters to earn the third place win.
Wyatt Killpack finished one rebound shy of a double-double, finishing with 21 points and nine rebounds to earn IdahoSports.com Player of the Game honors.
Ambrose's Tristen Trevino led all scorers with 34 points.
2A TOURNAMENT AT VALLIVUE HIGH SCHOOL
Consolation Final
Valley 63, Riverstone 41
After suffering their first loss of the season in the opening round to Grace, No. 2 Valley (24-1) rebounded to claim the consolation title.
Pedro Robles logged a double-double of 16 points and 12 rebounds on his way to IdahoSports.com Player of the Game honors, and brothers Nathan Christensen (15 points) and Devin Christensen (14 points) reached double figures as well.
No. 5 Riverstone (21-4) was led by Amer Sangha's 12 points.
Third Place Game
Grace 63, Lakeside 55
No. 7 Grace (14-14) won the third place crown over No. 4 Lakeside (16-7) by cleaning up on the glass. The Grizzlies out-rebounded the Knights 51 to 28.
IdahoSports.com Player of the Game Laexin van Gass was a big part of that rebounding edge, with nine total to lead all Grizzlies. He also scored 23 points.
Lakeside's Tyson Charley once again stuffed the stat sheet for the Knights with 26 points, eight rebounds, three assists, two steals and two blocks.
1A TOURNAMENT AT CALDWELL HIGH SCHOOL
Consolation Final
Watersprings 57, Cascade 43
No. 3 Watersprings (22-4) finished its season on a high note, surging past No. 4 Cascade (18-8) to win the consolation crown.
Matthew Kinoshita went 7-of-10 from the floor on his way to 18 points and IdahoSports.com Player of the Game honors. Titus Driver added 16 points and eight rebounds for the Warriors.
Cole Olson of Cascade led all scorers with 21 points.
Third Place Game
Rockland 79, Garden Valley 60
No. 2 Rockland (22-4) exploded for 79 points in a third place victory over No. 5 Garden Valley (20-10).
The Bulldogs shot 52% from the floor, 46% from three-point range, and 86% from the free throw line.
IdahoSports.com Player of the Game Woodrow Lowder scored 33 points and pulled down eight rebounds. Aidan Radford finished with 19 points for Rockland, and Xavier Parrish added 16.
Max Yearsley finished with 16 points and seven rebounds for Garden Valley.
