Name: Cruz Taylor
School: Skyline
Grade: Senior
Sport: Baseball
Position: Shortstop/ Pitcher

How did you first get interested in baseball?
I first got interested in going to my mom’s softball games.

Why do you enjoy playing baseball?
Baseball is my favorite because it is more than just a physical game it takes mentality too.

Which teammates have you really connected with during high school?
Bridger Taylor because my freshman year I just wanted to play next to him and he is a good player and so I wanted to compete with him and try to be better than him in the long run.

Is there anyone in your family who have helped you get to where you are today?
My legal last name is Dominguez, but I go by Taylor because that is my mom's maiden name. She raised me by herself and has done things for me that I can never repay her for. She has and still is helping me become the best player and person I can be, she pushes me in life and in sports and she is my No. 1 supporter, so I go by Taylor to represent her and all of the life-long lessons she has taught.

What would you like to see to all the other Idaho athletes who had their season cut short?
I would say keep working on your game, just because the season got cut short doesn't mean you have to get cut short.
