Timberline enters the fall as a popular dark horse pick in the 6A Southern Idaho Conference.
While its freshman team finished last season with a 9-0 record and a conference championship, Timberline’s varsity squad lost its first six and missed the state playoffs for the third season in a row.
As the Wolves prepare for another year, head coach Ian Smart is hoping the freshmen team’s success, combined with a strong junior class, will help push the Wolves into state playoff contention.
That strong junior class is headlined by reviver Hudson Lewis, who is one of Idaho’s top-rated recruits in the state’s 2026 class. The 5-foot-9 pass catcher already has interest from Idaho and Idaho State and should pick up some offers as the year goes on.
