As a team, what are your offensive strengths?
Second year in our offensive scheme and we have a lot of returning players that have some experience under their belt. Without a doubt we want to run the ball, our goal is to establish the run this year, we have a larger offensive line than what we have had in the past few years, our kids had to play with attitude because they lacked size. This year my hopes are with this group to see the combination of both attitude and size. We would like to spread the carries out and utilize our talents, we have several kids I would to see get at least 10 touches per game. That said, I don’t mean to imply we can’t throw the ball, Tyrel is a very capable QB in this regard. He is a tremendous dual threat QB.

Offensive areas you hope to improve on over last year:
Consistency, Execution, Effort Three areas where there is always room for improvement…Score more points that the other team.

As a team, what are your defensive strengths?
We want to stop the run, by making great decisions and using great effort.

Defensive Areas you hope to improve on over last year:
Create more turnovers.

Does your team have a motto/theme for the upcoming season?
Brotherhood, accountability, Industriousness.

What are you most excited about in regards to this year’s team?
We have great character kids!

For the fans, what is the must-see game of the year on your schedule?
Sandpoint…Moscow…To go to state.

What is the ‘X-Factor’ to having success this season as a team?
Staying healthy.

If you could change one rule in high school football, what would it be?
I would change the coaches box enforcement…the rules have us trapped in an area that is crowded…I’m a pacer…I need to pace.

Besides the pay, the fame and the glory, why do you coach high school football?
Extracurricular activities in general (especially football) provides the best avenue to have a positive influence on young people.
