As a team, what are your offensive strengths? There will be a lot of times where we have 5 guards on the floor so expect a lot of runnin’ and gunnin’! We also have several shooters that love to and can shoot the 3.
As a team, what are your defensive strengths? We are super quick and have players that anticipate really well so expect a lot of full court pressure.
Defensive Areas you hope to improve on over last year: If we don’t box out and rebound that could be our downfall to losing games.
Does your team have a motto/theme for the upcoming season? First in. Last to win.
What are you most excited about in regards to this year’s team? We have a ton of athleticism and the girls love to have fun so that combination is going to make for a fun season.
For the fans, what is the must-see game of the year on your schedule? I think Madison is going to be tough to beat this year. Traci always does a god job preparing her girls and I think they will match up with us well. Hopefully the must-see game is us playing them for the district championship.
What is the ‘X-Factor’ to having success this season as a team? If we stay together as a team and get along, we will be tough to beat.
If you could change one rule in high school basketball, what would it be? Shot clock – I think it would make the game more interesting to watch and force teams to actually play basketball.
Besides the pay, the fame and the glory, why do you coach high school basketball? I take every chance I can get to impact the youth…hopefully for the better!
What makes your school the best place to coach for? The awesome girls who work hard. The amazing support from parents and community.
