The first day of the 2017 Girls 'Real Dairy Shootout' is in the books - and it had the biggest variety of games I think we could have possibly seen. Between overtime games, comeback wins, and big-time blowouts it had quite the array of contests.
My 'Shootout Selections' for the first day didn't turn out too bad - I went 20-of-24 on the first day overall including a 12-for-12 in the first session of games on Thursday afternoon. The question is... can I replicate that good score or even possibly improve on it? Or will the law of averages kick in and knock me down a few rungs on the proverbial Game Picks ladder?
In comparison to my IdahoSports.com colleagues Paul Kingsbury and Sven Alskog, the race for the No. 1 ranking in Game Picks is on - Paul is tied with me (but is behind ine tiebreaker points) and Sven trails by two. But as we all know upsets come in many shapes and forms and when an upset brews on the court it means that there's another upset happening in Game Picks.
So, with that - it's time for Round 2.
