"It's the MOST WONDERFUL TIME... of the YEAR!"
Sixty-six games jam packed into three days of high school hoops action in the Treasure Valley this weekend. As teams descend on the Boise-area, all of us at IdahoSports.com are getting ramped up for the tournament coverage.
We feel that this year's coverage will the best yet (and we hope we can say that every year too!). Many of our broadcasters look forward to this stretch of hoops action each year.
Of course, our legendary action photographers will be at all state tournament sites around the valley catching the best photos around. Don't worry, you watch the game and we'll take the pictures. Make sure you check out the Galleries tab each day to see the photos from each classification and to order your favorites.
We have all of the available state tournament information on the site as well: updated brackets, schedules, statistics, and more! We update the information given to us as soon as we receive it!
If you haven't followed us on Facebook or Twitter, do it! We'll be posting lots of game updates, links to games, photos, and more online.
You will see game predictions each day from Paul Kingsbury and myself as we bring you 'Paul's Picks' and 'State Tournament Selections' each day. Make sure you check back and see who we picked and how we did each day! Find our predictions articles each day in the IdahoSports.com Headlines section.
Each game each night will have a 'Daily Recap' of the action from the games. Make sure you check out the 'Headlines' section on the IdahoSports.com homepage for those!
Our 'State Tournament Game Picks' contest is back... with the chance to win fabulous CASH and PRIZES! All you have to do is pick the winners of the games each day. The winner each day will get a prize! The winner on the Saturday games will snag $25 and the winner overall for all three day will secure $100! It's totally free to play! Just make sure you sign up to be an Insider Zone member (which is also free to sign up for).
And, of course, all 66 boys state tournament games will be broadcast LIVE on the internet here on our IdahoSports.com GameStreams presented by the United Dairymen of Idaho. Here are the tournament assignments for our broadcasters:

If you watched any of the girls state championship games on Feb. 21 online, you may have noticed a difference in the quality of the video. We ran a test on that day using an upgraded camera suitable for web streaming and found the results very desirable. After discussing the results, we made the decision to upgrade as many cameras as possible immediately, in time for the boys state tournament. As a result, all six classifications will be using the new, upgraded cameras for this weekend! We know that this will result in an increased satisfaction from those of you watching our GameStreams from home.
One thing about the United Dairymen of Idaho: this organization sponsors the state tournaments every year and makes it possible for them to exist. They do it each year while hardly asking for anything in return. Without them, this tournament (and other tournaments, for that matter) do not exist. PERIOD. Make sure the next time you run into someone from the United Dairymen of Idaho, tell them THANK YOU! We certainly appreciate their sponsorship here on IdahoSports.com and their continued support of Idaho High School Activities!
Good luck to all of the teams in the tournament! For those of you traveling to the Treasure Valley, please arrive safely! For those of you who can't be there, don't worry: we've got you covered here on IdahoSports.com.
