What a great day of State Tournament Basketball!
The Real Dairy Shootout never seems to disappoint and it certainly hasn't thus far. Lots of great games around the Treasure Valley with today's games putting a lot on the line: for half of the team, a chance to play at the Ford Idaho Center for a state championship on Saturday, while for others it's the chance to stave off elimination.
I'm covering the 2A tournament and three of the four games came down to the final shot. Of those three games, the total margin-of-victory was five points COMBINED for those three games. I know that close games like these keep coaches up at night, but as a broadcaster I thoroughly enjoy them.
I went 18/24 in my picks overall on Thursday for 75.0%. I'd say that's not too shabby. My worst classification, picks-wise, was 4A: the first two games of the day decided to do their best to lower my accuracy. The 2A classification only helped that however, as I went 4-for-4.
Let's see if I can improve on my score with today's games... or completely butcher it.
