Some district tournaments are underway while others are yet to start, but here’s a preview of the weekend ahead for matchups across the state.
BOYS SOCCER
BOYS DISTRICT TOURNAMENT BRACKETS
- The 6A Inland Empire league starts its district tournament with Lake City taking on Post Falls on Saturday night. The winner will take on Coeur d’Alene Tuesday, October 13. The 6A Southern Idaho Conference kicks off its district tournament tonight with a couple of play-in matchups. The 6A High Country Conference features Thunder Ridge playing Canyon Ridge, with the winner playing Highland for a bid to state.
- The 5A Southern Idaho Conference is already underway with its district tournament. #5 Mountain Home upset #4 Ridgevue but then dropped to top-seeded Caldwell. Caldwell and Vallivue will play for the bid to the state tournament. In the 5A High Country Conference, Idaho Falls takes on Skyline, and Century takes on Blackfoot. The winners meet on Saturday for a bid to state.
- In the 4A Intermountain League, CDA Charter and Timberlake will face off, followed by Bonners Ferry and Grangeville. The winners will play Saturday night for a state bid. The 4A Snake River Valley Conference kicks off its district tournament today, with McCall-Donnelly facing Emmett and Weiser facing Parma.

GIRLS DISTRICT TOURNAMENT BRACKETS
- In the 6A Inland Empire League, Lake City and Coeur d’Alene face off Saturday, with Lake City taking the first matchup of the tournament 3-0. The 6A SIC starts its district tournament tonight with two matchups at Boise and two at Kuna. In the 6A High Country Conference, Highland and Rigby face off for a bid to state. The loser faces the winner of tonight’s matchup between Thunder Ridge and Madison to face off in a play-in game for state.
- In the 5A Inland Empire League, Sandpoint and Lakeland will face off on Saturday, along with Moscow and Lewiston on Saturday. The winner will face off next Tuesday for the district crown. In the 5A SIC, Vallivue will face off against Skyview for a bid to state. The 5A Great Basin Conference features Twin Falls versus Jerome and Canyon Ridge vs. Wood River, with the winners going to the district championship. The 5A High Country Conference will feature Skyline versus Pocatello, and Hillcrest versus Idaho Falls, with the winners facing off in the District championship.
- The 4A Intermountain League will have matches tomorrow and the district championship Saturday to determine their state representatives. Timberlake will face Grangeville, and Bonners Ferry will play CDA Charter. The 4A SRV will kick off tonight, while the High Desert Conference will kick off tomorrow. Marsh Valley and Preston will play for the Southeast Idaho District title on Monday. There is still some seeding to be decided with the remaining conferences in 4A before their district tournaments kickoff in the remaining days.
