As we head towards a new football season, IdahoSports.com is once again getting fans ready by unveiling the Top 10 players at each position. These lists feature players from all corners of the state, and from all six classification levels. Each week, we'll publish a new list of Top 10 players. Here's the schedule:
July 6 (Offensive Linemen)
July 13 (Defensive Linemen)
July 16 (Special Teams)
July 20 (Running Backs)
July 27 (Linebackers)
August 3 (Wide Receivers/Tight Ends)
August 10 (Defensive Backs)
August 17 (Quarterbacks)
These selections are listed in alphabetical order by school. These opinions are my own, and I made these selections based on a number of factors, including: returning All-State or All-Conference pedigree, college recruiting hype, and the good old-fashioned eye test.

Without further ado, here are the Top 10 Offensive Linemen to watch out for in 2026.
Aksel Rodriguez, 12, Aberdeen
Rodriguez isn’t as big as some of the others on this list, but his nonstop motor and blue-collar work ethic perfectly embody what has made Aberdeen one of Class 3A’s most consistent programs over the past several years. Rodriguez can play inside in a pinch, but the first team All-State selection does his best work on the outside (including on defense, where he could easily have qualified for our Top 10 Defensive Linemen list as well).
Brody Hale, 12, Bishop Kelly
Bishop Kelly steamrolled to the Class 5A title a year ago, and the Knights’ dynamic offense was a major reason why. Consider the balance: 2,814 passing yards and 2,321 rushing yards. Or how about 42.2 points per game? No matter how you slice it, the Knights gave their fans the royal treatment in 2025 and look poised to repeat the feat. It starts up front with Idaho Vandals commit Hale (and the guy right below him on our list). Hale played guard last season and doled out 20 pancake blocks.
Brandon Root, 12, Bishop Kelly
There’s not much left for the 5-foot-11, 230-pound center to do when it comes to accomplishments. State champion? Check. All-Conference? Check. All-State? Check. How about zero sacks allowed last season? Check. Anyone wanting to topple BK from its’ perch in 2026 will have to go through Root first.
Max Barnes, 12, Columbia
Good things are happening at Columbia, where the Wildcats may finally be turning the corner after limited success on the gridiron. Having a 6-foot-7, 250-pound anchor on the offensive line certainly helps. Barnes was a first team All-Conference selection a year ago and has committed to Boise State.
Remington Crowell, 12, Council
Crowell has been pulverizing opponents in the Long Pin Conference since his freshman year, and as the 6-foot-3, 260-pound guard prepares for his final season, college coaches would be wise to pay attention to the work he’s doing at Idaho’s smallest classification level. Crowell had 28 pancake blocks a year ago, and the Lumberjacks racked up 4,257 yards of total offense on the year.
Jeremiah Dutchover, 12, Eagle
This 6-foot-2, 275-pound interior linemen has picked up a flurry of college offers, including Carroll College, the College of Idaho and Eastern Oregon (all members of the NAIA’s Frontier Conference Western Division). Dutchover earned first team All-Conference honors in 2025 and has his eyes on the 6A All-State team this year.
Rocky Weatherspoon, 12, Fruitland
Not every coach keeps track of blocking stats throughout the season, but it’s safe to say that Weatherspoon led all Idaho road graders in 2025 with a staggering 65 pancakes. The 6-foot-3, 280-pound senior is just one piece of what promises to be a fun group of Grizzlies this season. College coaches from all over will be flocking to Fruitland to watch Weatherspoon and countless others perform this year.
Gavin Allen, 12, Hillcrest
This 6-foot-5, 300-pounder has committed to the University of Montana, where he could play guard or tackle for the Grizzlies. Allen had offers from other Division I programs, including in-state Idaho, and was a second team All-State honoree last season.
Brandon Elizondo, 12, Kimberly
Elizondo stands 6-foot-3 and 310-pounds and has the versatility to play at both tackle and guard, which college coaches love to see. Heck, his own coaches in Kimberly love his versatility too, along with his toughness, technique and demeanor. Elizondo garnered first team All-State and All-Conference honors last season, and at this point, the only thing left to accomplish for the senior and his Kimberly teammates is to win the state championship after earning second place in 2025.
Kaden Solecki, 12, Rocky Mountain
Solecki can play both guard and center and stands 6-foot-3 and 295 pounds. The senior currently holds eight offers, including one from Division I Utah Tech. Solecki earned first team All-Conference honors last year, and didn’t allow a single sack, a streak he’ll more than likely continue this season.
