Coeur d'Alene's Savannah Stevens Twirls No-Hitter
Coeur d'Alene High freshman pitcher Savannah Stevens threw a five-inning no-hitter in a 10-0 win over Sandpoint.
The Coeur d'Alene Press reported that Stevens was pitching in place of junior Jenna Davenport, who was in Europe on a choir trip.
Davenport struck out 13 while walking just two in the 10-0 triumph. Stevens also earned the win in the second game of the double-header, striking out nine and walking one, while allowing four hits in an 11-0 win.
DISTRICT 2
Kendrick Baseball Racks Up 16 K's In Win Over Clearwater Valley
The Kendrick baseball team registered 16 strikeouts in a 5-2 win over Clearwater Valley in a 2A Whitepine League contest.
The Lewiston Tribune said that Ralli Roetcisoender pitched four innings with ten total strikeouts. He also went 2-for-3 with a walk, an RBI and a run scored.
Joha Hultman then finished the contest with three innings of relief, and an additional six strikeouts.

Jon Nettleton Retires After 21 Years As Mountain View Boys Basketball Coach
On the heels of his 21st season as Mountain View's head boys basketball coach, Jon Nettleton announced his retirement.
The Idaho Press noted that Nettleton finished with a record of 300 wins, 214 losses, 12 state tournament appearances, two state tournament trophies, and a state championship in 2011.
Nettleton will continue to teach technology and computer science classes at Mountain View High.

College of Southern Idaho Men's Basketball Team Falls Just Short In National Championship Game
In a true battle of 1 vs. 2, top-seeded Howard College defeated second-seeded College of Southern Idaho to claim the NJCAA Men's Basketball National Championship.
According to KMVT, CSI led at the end of the first half, 30-29, thanks to a buzzer beater from former Hillcrest standout Cooper Kesler.
But the Hawks slowly pulled away to earn an 82-67 win.

Century Tennis Coach Sean Kane Crosses 300 Career Victories
When Century's tennis team started their season with three wins over Treasure Valley schools Fruitland, Rocky Mountain and Mountain View, head coach Sean Kane crossed 300 career victories as the Diamondbacks' head coach.
The Idaho State Journal reported that Tiden Lynn, Liam McGee, Nate Romriell, Kate Spicer, and Shep Butler all went undefeated across a variety of singles and doubles matches.

Defending State Baseball Champion Sugar-Salem In 'Reset' Mode For 2026
Sugar-Salem's baseball program has claimed back-to-back titles at the Class 4A level.
But, as East Idaho News found out, pulling off a three-peat will be their toughest challenge yet.
New head coach Ryan Rasmussen is leading a relatively new group of Diggers into battle, but they aren't calling this season a "rebuilding year." Rather, they're calling it a "reset."
